Excellent for writing text messages and its free.
Another App is Whatsapp http://www.whatsapp.com/download/
I text my friends in Oz,Singapore and India for free .They have to have it installed as well and you have to use your Wifi connection.Its free for a year then about £1 after that

You know how you unlock the phone. If you drag it the wrong way it will silence the phone. Make sure you haven't done that first, if you have the speaker picture will be red. To unsilence it drag it the opposite way you would to unlock it iyswim

Or press the volume button at the top of the right side of your phone.

whats app is free on android . You can picture and video message for free. Its like msn messenger but way better. You dont have to use youre wifi , you can use it with your mobile data too

Not sure if these are still available but before I try to order please can anyone help with a few questions:

1. Will I be able to unlock this phone to use with a Giff Gaff (or other SIM)?

2. Would be interested in using it as a car SatNav, should it work okay for this? Noticed the page says you only get a "one month" trial of the SatNav. Is there a free download SatNav app which works well?

3. Am I correct in understanding that you get the 6 months free internet even if you don't keep topping up after the first £10 top up?

4. Sorry to be dim(!) but never used wi-fi hotspots before - how do you connect to these and is it completely free, do doesn't use your topup credit?

You set the phone to tell you when there are networks available and it switches to these when in range some times you have to connect to them. It uses my home network when at home and I was using the virgin rail one last weekend on the train. It must have been using them and not the t-mobile network itself as I could not get a mobile connection for data (said 3g but because of number of users could not get a connection) in centre of London. I also connected to my sons network when in his flat that required a passwprd so I knew it was connected to that and the speed improved.

Just make sure you are using a free connection not a paid for one but these have paywalls in front of them before you connect free ones do not.

I have yet to use any of my credit with all the time it has been connected to the free net deal, used a £ when it was not connected to that when I did not know I had to set it up!

New phone arrived at 9 this morning rest of day is my own!

Hi, i wondering if anyone can help me. I have not been able to download any apps, it is stuck on starting download. Also, does anyone know the number to call to get free internet? I have been charged around £2 already, not cool! Thanks in advance.
