Good pics from the biggest loser! Where does all that skin go? I wonder what they actually look like naked? Doesn't really matter i guess, cos they have achieved a lot and look fab now.

Rulon was kicked out for cheating and breaking the rules, bringing mobile phone, diet pills and takeaways

I thought 9 was a lot better, didnt like the 2 new trainers, there very weak personality wise, and i just want to hit brett ...

That's what I read too, but nbc have stated that apparantly it was Rulon's decision to not be at the finale. I don't buy that though. Even so, i still wish i knew how he was doing.

Yeh I hated the two new trainers too and Brett also annoyed me. Kara was trying too hard to come across as someone tough i thought. Obviously i get she's trying to prove herself, but i think nobody could be like jillian. I'm not sure if it's her experience or just her personality but jillian michaels comes across as someone who will motivate you no matter what the situation is.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved 9, especially mike. I think he's an inspiration really to everyone no matter what their size is, but maybe i was a bit too hasty in putting them under the same wavelength as now that i think about it, season 9 will always be the best season ever. This season, people like olivia, hannah, courtney just made it that more special. But yeh i also feel the addition of the new trainers ruined it. It should have been all about jillian and bob, especially as it was jill's last season. But me thinks they're just sort of paving the way to have 4 trainers like biggest loser aus.

    Hi all,
well my granddads funeral was on monday and there was a massive spread on at the wake and i brought some home and me and the kids had it. Havent weighed myself in weeks but i will do it soon.
My sciatia has started playing up again today so hopefully can get a doctors appointment and they can give me something to relieve the pain as i cannot walk without it hurting, this is also a big reason for me to lose weight as it doesnt help that im fat.
Fred can you please delete all records of me, as i want to start over, so please delete my weight and amount lost etc and i will tell you my new starting weight when i weigh myself.
    Thankyou.
Hope your all doing well, and congrats polkadot

Speaking from experience in some places it tightens up but in others it hangs around and no matter what you do it doesn't seem to get any better :cry::cry: The only way to get rid of it is to have surgery (which I could never think of doing) So I am having to learn to live with it but I got told I look pretty good the other day so clothed I must look ok ;)

Managed to go for another run without too much pain so I think I am just going to pretend it is not there. Also did all my housework in my skechers shape up's and it didn't ache too much so hopefully I am on the mend :D Still a long way to go to get up to Eric's times though

Thank you Fred for doing the charts you really do a wonderful job :A
can you add another 3.48 miles to my total please

Sary - good news about the cup cakes and well done on this week's loss :T
    Restarting C25K in 2014 - Week 8 - 1/3 completed

Need to loose 25lb / 3lb lost so far :(

I'd like to take part in the 5lb challenge again please Fred. And while I'm at it I'll join the West team and the exercise challenge!

Could you tell me when these challenges are due to finish? Just so I can plan ahead (got an extravagant weekend ahead so need to figure out how drastic the dieting/exercise needs to be for the rest of the month:rotfl:).
  • On the subject of skin -though for myself I have to get rid of the fat first. :(
But years ago I read that if you go on very slowly losing weight after you have reached your goal, skin eventually does tighten.
This might be a bit theoretical for real life and may not be good advice.
But the article based it on body-builders who lost weight and people who were in situations where they have too little food for extended periods, skin also shrinks so it is able to do that, the article said, it's just that people stop dieting too soon and leave enough of a layer of fat under the skin that means it keeps its shape.

I'm really not sure what to think of this, if it is too extreme.

And to be honest I would settle for fat loss and would happily tuck the rest into jeans!

skin is pretty resilient and will shrink back some, for some people it will shrink a lot if you are young enough with a good skin elasticity however if you get big enough it just wont go back :(
  • I was just holding in to that small glimmer of hope Eric!

Anyway, back to plan B and tucking it all into my jeans then- well, after actually losing some fat rather than just dreaming and planning and reading and typing and ... any other procrastination I can find.

Ahh I'm eating everything in sight that has FAT written all over it. I'm right now digging into giant buttons. I've had a ripple, toast, huge lasagne, sausage sandwhich, crisps. Perhaps i'm not putting away enough cals with the more excersie i'm doing? God knows. I wont eat so much tomorrow!!
