Fred can you add 3.10 miles to my Eurovision Challenge.
Really interested in all of the discussion about low carbs. I am reducing my carbs by having an omlette rather than cereal for breakfast and having a salad instead of a sandwich for lunch. I was expecting to be hungry, but finding the opposite really. :T

Thats pretty cool Jess. I always worry that if i lower my carb intake i'm going to feel hungry, which will then lead me to eat any rubbish that is available to hand! Plus for me carbs are a huge part of my diet. I don't like cake, biscuits, desserts (most things sweet really) so i also think if i cut out carbs there wouldn't be much point in me eating either
I might try and lower it a bit... perhaps less noodle in my stir fry tonight and only two peices of french stick instead of 3! ha.0 -

Hi everyone, just dropping in to let you all know that i am going to be removing myself from this months north vs south challenge as today i lost my granddad and losing weight is not the top priority atm. we dont know how he died as it was sudden, i have hardly ate today but i am known to comfort eat at these kinds of situations, so for that reason i am removing my self from the north vs south as i dont want to jepordise every1 elses chances of winning the challenge.
Fred- please take me of the north vs south challenge. Thanks
Sorry if none of the above makes sense, im not talking much sense at the moPAD Maker0 -
Hello all, and hello again to all the old faces.
Needless to say, the last efforts were a failure but I'm beginning again from tomorrow.
Not all bad, I'm 16lbs lighter than the last time, but with a lot to lose still.
My failure always seems to be caused my reluctance to abstain from drinking. Which in turn means I eat more when I've had a drink. Ready made excuse really.
Over the past couple of months, I've taken up cycling which I'm hoping will help a lot.
Got a checkup from the doctors, BP and cholesterol fine, just need to call tomorrow for other results.
So here we go again, hopefully I'll be here longer this time.0 -

Mandz so sorry to hear of your loss,I realise Im new to this but Im sure I speak for everyone when I say even though wl is not a priority-if you just want to talk we're all here.
Fred thank you for your encouragement to record my distances even though Im not up for the challenge...I wore my pedometer every time I left the hotel AND remembered to pause it everytime I sat down.My distances were:
Friday=2.44 miles
Saturday=3.90 miles...we also walked to dinner but I forgot my pedometer,when MrP checked google maps it was 1.2 miles (I wont count this though in my records)
Sunday=3.30 miles
Add this to my 6.4 that I had done before I have a....
Total of:16.04 miles :j:j:j
Am I correct in saying I have done a whole circuit?
I'm feeling it now,my hips are very sore but I had so much fun.I dont know if you know that I am a cake decorator-not a fantastic one as Im still very new to it.But I got to see the shop window of chocciewocciedoodah.I didnt get to go in (mostly as I didnt trust myself-on every level.)But it was lovely to see the dummies on display.
