STS today. That's 71.1 kg and a few weeks ago it felt like impossible to even get that far. Keep going.

    60 minutes aqua-aerobics yesterday.

Just what i was thinking eric, what has happened to our thread?

We all have our bad days worldoftights but like everyone else says, it is just learning and getting to grips with everything.

20 mins to add on from yesterdays workout.

ps how do i put it in colour:o

Hi, Press 'Go Advanced' at the bottom of the reply box which takes you to another screen. Highlight the text you want to change colour then go to the little drop down menu that is next to the A at the top. Select the colour you want. Hope that makes sense. :)

    - 1.5 lb loss for me this week Fred.

45 min aqua aerobics last night.

chic peas are GI 32 which is low, so they are good, you have made something equivalent to the food doctor bean mix, which is excellent :T

Yay, it's a 3lb loss for me, since last mon. It's actually 3.5lb, but I don't want to start adding '.somethings' as I will just get confused and forget what I've lost - not adding it will also make getting another loss next week a little easier :)

I think that the most I've ever lost is 3lb (possibly 4lb on the first week?) , so V.pleased with that, and I'm almost back to my pre-holiday weight.

Not too happy about the thread. Why have we been shoved on the end of a question that would probably be better placed on the freebies board?!?
Feel a little out of sorts now, lol.
  • Whoa, what's going on with the thread? I hope it doesn't stay like this :(

Thanks everyone for the suggestions re: running. I was worried that my sore shins meant that I wouldn't be able to run at all, so whew! I was told that you shouldn't stretch before you exercise as your muscles are cold - so warm up, exercise, cool down, stretch??

I want to be super fit! I can peddle pretty quickly on my little exercise bike for about an hour and a quarter before I get bored and wander off. I have been doing what Trigirl (I think) suggested and I am now doing some interval training on the bike, so I warm up for 10 minutes, then set my rate at about 30-32km p/h - at 20 mins I do 3 minutes at 40-42km p/h then back to my set rate, then at 30, 40, 50 and 60 I do the same, resting in between (at the 30-32km), then cool down for 10 mins at the end. I will hopefully build up the time I can go fast, and reduce the time I'm going slow. I think that it is definitely helping to strengthen my lungs.

But I want to be able to run. I have always wanted to run, but didn't think I could because I was too fat (even when I was 4 stone lighter than I am now). But maybe I can do it? We shall see.

Also, congrats on all the losses! Looks like it was a good week - lots of us losing 3lbs :T

(psst, lolly - I think you could be slimmer of the week if you counted your .5 :p)

I did consider that! :D I've been here 7 months and have never even come close!!!

While it would be lovely to be slimmer of the week at some point, I'm not too fussed this week as my loss was from last mon so it would feel like a bit of a cheat, iyswim.
  • Can I log 30 minutes for yesterday and 50 minutes for today

Just got back from the gym where I had a little go at running - managed to go for 10 mins which is good for me! I'm not a great runner, but it's something I've always wanted to improve on. Unfortunately I have rubbish achilles heels, so I have to take it easy most of the time.

Seeing as I only joined a few days ago, I'll post weight loss next week if that's ok :)

Can't believe we lost the sticky :(
