I have just checked, and interestingly enough, my true weight is 11st 4! That is by far the most sensible weight I have ever been told, and is actually spot on as I probably do look my best between 11 and 11 1/2 stone. His 'personalised' way of working it out makes a huge difference, and really shows that a 'one size fits all' approach is not the way to go!

I guess it's not too expensive when you work it out 'per use', it's still a lot more than I spend on oil in 6 months though...
£1.50 ish on a can of Frylite Olive Oil spray! :p

I know it's probably carp and I don't gain any health benefits from using it, but it sure does cut those calories down!

problem is its cutting out the wrong calories, its difficult to overcome the dogma thats programed into us about "unhealthy fats"

We had this: http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/maindishes/r/smosalmonquiche.htm for tea tonight (minus the red pepper and plus a white onion) with salad, and it was really yummy.

Hopefully it isn't too heavy on the carbs? I figured because it's crustless it would be better?

If anyone else fancies sharing low carb recipes that that would be really great :D

I am now just sitting down to some mint tea - hopefully it doesn't have too many carbs!

    Hello there!

I've been lurking for a few months but I'm ready to jump in and join you lovely people! I'm looking for a bit of motivation - especially regarding the exercise. I love getting a sweat on, but I've recently changed jobs and now work shifts. To be honest it's played havoc with my lifesyle and I haven't really caught up with the change from 9-5.

Erm can you sign me up for Team England? And lets go for the 5lb challenge too.

Monthly challenge wise, I'll travel to Canada - parents are on holiday there at the mo - 7 hours accoring to Travelmath, so I'll do the return journey!

    50 min for me today.

Thanks for all of the links Eric. I really need to get my head around the fact that it is OK to eat fat. Currently cutting down on the carbs and eating more meat, avacado, fish. However, after years of cutting out fat feel slightly guilty when I add oil to my salad, etc. I suppose it takes time to adjust.

    Good day all.

Run 1 week 3 C25K, please add 30 minutes to my trip to Cornwall and back Fred, thanks.

I am being to simplistic, I just count calories < 2000 per day is working fine for me so far. I have a love of numbers so the weighing and calorie calculations add to the interest. I don't find will power an issue, I just have to balance my fitness and dieting bug with the OH's patience with me. We still have a Friday take away, fish and chips looks the best option, anything where the fat isn't integrated into the meal, unfortunately OH's favourite is curry.

Have found this so will use it as a pointer:

Just adding 48 mins to the challenge (on the bike) - was aiming for an hour but suddenly felt really sick so had to stop. Still don't feel great now, no idea why
