and honestly primal is pretty easy if your disciplined in what you eat, rarely hungry0 -
Eric,
This site as a whole is interesting but my problem is the practicality, I just can not see how to turn this into practice when my lifestyle is so hectic during the day.
If say I look up from my desk and its lunchtime, I haven't pre-prepared anything which is normal so I pootle to Tesco Express, how do I contruct a primal lunch from here assuming all I have to cook with is a microwave and 10 minutes?
I feel you are right with Carb reduction but it seems unsuited to the office 30 minute lunch.
Steve
a little bit of planning and a little bit of discipline, but very little will power after the carb addiction is beaten (first 2-3 weeks)
i plan my lunches the week ahead and buy it all in our weekly shop
if you have a tescos near you thou they have a tonne of primal food that you can buy, nuts , cooked meats, cheese, full fat yoghurts, salads etc
oh and i get 10 mins for lunch, but i too was a master of excuses0 -

Thanks for this. I can eat most of the stuff on there. Don't eat bacon/ham/pork (anything from a pig) and I don't eat cheese :rotfl:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

I started the Dukan last week and there seem to be a few Dukan experts on here!
Initially I started to go down quickly losing 7lb in 5 days then when I changed to the cruise bit I put two back on- no idea why, I do walk loads and swim 3 times a week....
Someone please tell me this is ok and just stick with it, I'm so tempted to chuck it in but I don't want another failure:o
Were you on Attack for 5 days?
It's common to lose more slowly once you go on to cruise. Dukan explains that in the daily motivation tips. This is what I got today:
Well done for being so disciplined. Keep on in this direction by following our instructions as closely as possible.
Yet another day when you haven't fallen back into your old eating habits, we are delighted about this.
Your motivation remains unshakeable as you are going through this phase. Well done, that is all I have to say to you!
Frustration is an unpleasant feeling. It seems that for the time being you are not confronted with it. This is excellent news. Let's keep on like this.
Margaret, cruising is the period of your slimming programme when you get slimmer. If you follow your instructions properly, the weight loss which you can expect is on average one and a half pounds per week. At the start of the diet you will lose more and then you'll have less successful weeks. For you the essential thing is to hold to your course and to keep going in the same direction, the right direction namely that of your true weight and keeping your true weight, by cutting this elastic band which otherwise will always bring back your lost pounds to their old place.
Sometimes just losing a few pounds is enough to regain the impact of your physical presence. Did you know that if your face is too full this can encroach upon the eye's visible surface, make it smaller and reduce the strength and beauty of a woman's eyes.
Don't forget that you are in a hurry to lose weight and therefore you are highly motivated. Strike while the iron is hot. Among the food based diets, the total protein diet is the most rapid, the one that eliminates the most water and makes you feel the most satiated. When you are not meant to have vegetables follow this to the letter so that you benefit from all its power.
I was on Attack for 2 days and at the end of that I'd lost three-quarters of a pound, but this morning I've lost 1.3 kg, which is a whisker off three pounds. I've never lost 3 pounds in one week before, not on any other weight loss programme.
What I like about it is, as I wrote before, I can see that it's do-able. No one is threatening me and saying 'oh, your BMI is too high, get down to an unrealistic weight'. That would be the way to set yourself up for failure! And the hassle of having to count every single calorie, gets to be a bore after a while especially if nothing seems to be happening.
I like the daily motivation tips and being asked to weigh and report daily. I would advise - just keep at it! Do you like the oat bran? I usually make a little bit of porridge of it with low-fat milk cooked for one minute in the microwave and eat it with Onken fat-free vanilla-flavoured yogurt.
What I fancied on the way back this afternoon - we'd already had a cup of tea (I didn't add any milk) and I had a Muller fat free raspberry flavoured yogurt - anyway, I really fancied a slice of roast beef. So DH stopped off and got some while the shops were still open. Just 3 slices of cooked beef with English mustard, that was what I fancied for tea. Now, don't want anything else for the rest of the day.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
