it's ages since i've really got so bargains at Asda, OH picked up some meat reduced last week but it's never down to silly money. I supose i should try and go when they're likely to have reduced things rather than on my way home from work. But it's the cost of petrol you have to add in which is why i go after work.

It took me ages to work out when things were going to be reduced fully. It's basically literally 5 minutes before closing. My tesco doesn't close at all but Sundays and Bank Holidays are great for reduced stuff! Luckily my OH gets fuel benefit so if I use his car then all fuel is paid!

    Plans for today

    Me dressed...any minute now
    Dog for a walk
Daughter to doctors (bit TMI but she hasn't done a no.2 since Friday!)
    Tidy up and clean
    More washing

    This evening
    Ironing BLEURGH

Lemon tree do you have a diary?

Sounds promising - got everything crossed for you. Will try to dig up your diary and see what you have been up to!
Well a bona fide NSD for me today:A:money:
    Taken dog for a walk x 2, :A
Done some washing and had a friend over most of this afternoon
Had the 10p gammon for tea - 4 slices! I love a food bargain :T
DD is now on laxatives following visit to the doc...worse she has had a double dose and still no movement...and she's at nursery tomorrow so I am a little worried about her "exploding" once she gets there.

I have some lovely fruity flapjacks in the oven so that's nice and...the best news of all....we have given up smoking again:A:A:A

Well I say "we"... we had some fags left over from last night and agreed to finish them off today. I asked last night how many were left and he just said "i haven't counted.." I come downstairs this morning to find he has left two on the side for me. "Fair enough" I think but then I speak to him later and he says he had 5 left for himself. I think that's a flipping cheek! Plus since finishing those he has been puffing away on his infuriating electronic cigarette.

Bah...I am crotchedy when I give up smoking I hope my office is prepared for me tomorrow!

Got the cleaner for an hour tomorrow at £7 (remember she lets the dog out also) but will be taking packed lunch and will have HM chicken pies for tea so all good on the spending front for now.

sorry to hear about DD, hope she's sorted out soon, it can't be easy for her or you.

We've had the person round to see what i'm selling and i feel i have been judged and found wanting, why do i feel that way? You could almost tell that they weren't interested the minute they got through the door. I also am now worried that there'll be gossiping about the entrance to my flat which is a state but which is not down to me but another flat owner who won't permit the repairs. They said they will be in touch but i won't hold my breath.

Bah sod 'em, i'm sure somebody else will be interested. Probably just timewasters by the sound of it. And as for gossiping about the entrance way I would try not to worry about what they think (I know that's easier said than done) Personally I am sick of worrying what other people think about house, clothes, my parenting etc.

Not sure what it is you're selling but have you tried Ebay? I'm no expert but have sold a bit on there. if I can offer any tips let me know.

Flapjacks are yummy...wondering if I can whack some of them in the freezer? I am sure I can. Think I will give it a try.

i have sold on ebay a few years ago but i got tired of the buyers wanting the earth for 99p and then complaining. I have some things i think i will list but i'm not sure if you still get charged on free listing days when you're listing things for more than 99p. Maybe you'll know that no worries if you don't, i'll wait for the next one and have a look for myself.

I think all listings for 99p are free (up to about 100 per month)
On free listing days you can start at any amount I think. It is annoying when people get funny about stuff. I probably get bout 1 in 10 which is difficult and I just end up having to give them their money back or a partial refund to appease them (can't risk my feedback getting damaged!)

For books I use Amazon and have had very good experiences on there.

Cheese toastie for lunch at work, with yoghurt, cuppa soup and flapjack. Planning a "technically" NSD as decided not to count the cleaner as this is a bill really.

Then trying out Tesco value Kievs and salad for tea. Had a vague notion that they "might" be the same product as the regular ones but just different packaging. We will see...

Cash withdrawal day today - so the plan is:

    £10 petrol
£25 OH pocket money (goes mostly on beer)
£25 food (just for top ups really and any unavoidable bargains)
    £30 (entertainment/takeaway x 1/ clubs for DD)
    £10 cleaner - (£3 already overpaid £8 in purse = £21 for next week)
    £12 dog walker
    Totral £112.00

vicky, you can tell i don't drink as i've read your post and saw £25 for your OH (beer) and thought 'that's a lot of money' to myself.
I'm not judging though please don't think that, it's just that i've never had to spend that money as i don't drink.
I'm sure the Kievs will be yummy, all Kievs are yummy if you ask me, i just lurrrvvvveee them :) i have a thing for garlic lol

Oh me too I love garlic.

Yes I think £25 is absolutely ridiculous just for alcohol. I might try to cut it down to £20 but if I give him less he gets really stroppy and huffy saying "I earn xX a year and this is the only money i spend on myself" blah blah so in the long run it's easier just to give it to him and keep him onside.

I'm sure i'm not the only one who finds that their OH is all on side when it means cutting out the things they don't care about...meals out/nights out with my friends, nice clothes, haircuts for me etc but when it comes to their stuff. Beer, fags, nights out with his mates etc then he gets all stroppy and huffy again.

In the end last time I was fully on the wagon with the spending i really had to stand my ground on it. I just kept repeating to him "well where's my fun money...which bit of the budget is just for me? apart from all the extra cooking???"

He kept saying "well, maybe you should allocate yourself the same" but that's just missing the point. There's no point me spending an equal amount because that's what got us into debt in the first place!

Garrrrgh it makes me so frustrated and plus i'm still not smoking so even more stroppy than normal!
