don't know the technical term for rubber beef, maybe it should be boinging beef, i certainly do it a lot in this place lol
woo hoo to a free lunch can't remember the last one i went to. Actually thinking on the last time i was at a meeting which provided food i had to leave before that stage to get to another meeting.0 -
The rule at my Company is that if you are out of the office for a meeting you can buy lunch on expenses!
It's a rarity for me but my OH (who works at the same place) gets lunch paid for 2 or 3 times a week! ...today was Subway apparently!
Anyway chicken pies in the oven. I am starving!

where i work the policy is that you basically take you're own including drinks to meetings, sometimes they'll give you a drink but not usually. They've even started putting the comment on a training day booking that you have to sort yourself out.0

I get 40p per mile for when I have to go out so will get £74 back (fuel cost be no more than £30) - so that's good!
It's an old rule with the lunch thing here but a really nice perk nevertheless. Also occasionally we do a buffet for a meeting internally and it's an unwritten rule that extra is ordered for the rest of the office!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

i've worked in places where people were offered the left overs when too much was ordered. I have to admit that i don't like buffets because you don't know if the person before you has washed their hands, weird i know.0

Well a bit about last night / today...had a row with OH about something he said to me at work. I got all emotional, blew it out of proportion and ended up in floods of tears last night. The crux of the problem is I don't want to be working there but I can't leave! I need to get used to the fact I have to be here and I have to do my job well for the next 2 years.
Quite frankly I have lost my motivation at work and I MUST get it back! I am trying harder today but I find it hard that since I had DD my status in the Company has dropped massively, i'm not in the loop any more, realistially there's no prospect of career progression and I have been doing this job for 7 years. I am just bored bored bored.
Personally we aren't in a position for me to take a pay cut (could not earn the same elsewhere) or to not earn at all in order to traing for another job. It should be possible when DD starts school tho and OH has promised me I can do what I want to then.
I just feel so frustrated - like I can't do the home stuff or the work stuff to the best of my ability!
Anyway, made fresh bread in BM this morning and every1 at work is loving it which is great! peri peri chicken and salad for tea which I am looking forward to!
Still no fags!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

Lovely dinner tonight and a trip out to try and judge the best reduction time at Sainsburys! Think 8pm will be perfect...
I picked up 5 packs TTD tomatoes reduced from £2 to 20p...that will make lovely tomato soup, plus lots of other nice veg and fruit.
Problem is I now need to get all the stuff in the fridge eaten and not wasted so the plan is...
Lunch for OH l/o peri peri chicken and salad
Lunch for me and kids @ cafe
Dinner for me quiche and salad
Dinner for OH pork chops and veg and pots
Dinner for DD - not sure yet!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

darn just noticed that the post i made at lunch is missing, ah well my puter was playing up.
i think i said some rubbish about figuring out what you want, the timescale you're working towards and then what you need to do to achieve it. Probably like me starting with reducing or getting rid of your debts is a great start.0 -
Yep you're right Lemontree. OH thinks I spend too much of my life planning already but I find life stressful when it isn't organised. I was stressing out about not paying into pensions this morning and putting together a mini timeline in my head about what we needed to do and he just said "well we need to pay off the debt for at least a year before we can think about pensions so why are you worrying about it now"
It's all a balancing act really as sometimes I feel I have this never ending list and I keep thinkin of things i need to do, or I need to make a decision about something but I can be so indecisive!! I really must take up yoga or something to chill out a bit!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:
