Well Metguy - lets help each other change our ways for good!
Have had a NSD today. Spent whole day at home and I have achieved so much. Going to write a list just to make myself feel good!
Tidied up garden and got furniture out of garage
OH solved dishwasher problem
Kitchen had a full spring clean and surfaces now totally clear.
Undersink cupboard sorted out
Re-organised a cupboard
Ironed loads of stuff for tabletop sale
Frame for scarecrow made
De-grouted half the hallway tiles
Sorted out loads of books for sale and re-organised shelves
Made ciabatta loaf (really nice and light)
Taken dog for a walk
Made jelly (okay that was an easy one!)
Got OH to put load of carp in garage
Painted the walls in the hallway
Now my hands are a bit tingly but I feel like I am on a roll...should I go and do the rest of the de-grouting...hmmm no I think I will pop up the shop for a newspaper (I know it will ruin my NSD but I need the paper afterwards to stuff my scarecrow okay?!!)
All this keeping busy has loads of side benefits as follows:
Keeping me fit
Making me forget about fags
Keeping me away from the shops!
When my house is spotless my mind always feels better too!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

Thanks Lemon Tree...thing is once I get going i'm okay but then other days I can't even make myself cook dinner let along clean the kitchen! So I try to make the most of it!
Crap on telly so might try and finish off the tiles before bed...want to get my scarecros "built" as well tho as I am worried it's going to look ridiculous!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

Managed to get a £3.99 bottle of wine with the last of this week's money to take to my mum's. Cadged a couple of quid from OH's beer money for nibbles and a bit more for eggs later. Now we have no cash left really until Wednesday. Don't worry! In reality there is money in the bank but the weekly allowance is all gone now.
Entertaining DD in the kitchen making fairy cakes so am typing this whilst making sure she doesn't fall off the worktop!
Really must do an inventory of the freezer and then plan out next weeks meals but tbh I am a bit tired and just want to lie on the sofa and watch a film...except I can't as OH is watching Moto GP recorded from earlier...soooo I will probably get the motivation together in a minute....maybe:cool:Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

 Now he's watching Touring Cars...but I am letting him seen as he has been such a miserable, snappy !!!!!! all day today. He told my mum I made him give up smoking which is so untrue!!
Anyway roast beef joint in the oven. Bought on the reduced counter for £3.33 and whacked in the freezer ages ago. It smells amazing...
Have de-grouted a few more tiles but struggling to get the motivation for much more. Have sorted out lunch for tomorrow (pretty easy as it's spaghetti hoops!) and dinner is HM chicken pies I made and froze the other day.
I might do a bit more ironing later but in all honesty it's a bit unlikely!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

Crap journey to work again - nearly 2 hours in the car. I spent the last 40 minutes doing calculations in my head about how I could afford to give up work...it all seemed to work in the car but when I got my pen and paper out at the office I realised it was just a pipedream. Never Mind.
This morning I scanned in the 2nd batch of my CD's and DVD's on Music Magpie and got a grand total of £22...
Just as I was about to save the order I had a brainwave and asked if anybody in the office wanted any of them. Have sold one DVD for £1 (MM would have given me 30p) and he is taking the box of CD's home at lunchtime as his mate has the same music tastes as me! Hopefully he will take the lot at £25 and I will still have the DVD's to sell on top. Result!!
Plus sold a book on Amazon...weird as I had just boxed it up for the tabletop sale at the weekend! that's another £6 less postage.
Think I will take everything to the tabletop sale and then whatever books are left will go on amazon and whatever outfits will be listed on Ebay. Hoping I can raise at least a further £50 this way.Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

Well a few changes for tea as I forgot to get the chicken pies out so OH is having sweet & sour chicken leftovers from the freezer, I have got the 20p yellow stickered chinese chicken curry I picked up a while ago @ Tesco and he is also making some egg fried rice - so just like a takeaway!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:

sounds all busy busy with you again. Glad you found tea in the freezer and didn't have to resort to takeaway, i resort to the latter too many times to be honest.
great news on the sales hope your friends-friend buys some CD's as well. Once up on a time Music Magpie used to give out semi decent prices but that's all changed now.0 -
What's the beef equiv of rubber chicken? Leftover Roast beef Italian style Casserole!
Was a big hit with the kids today but when OH tasted it he said it tasted like spag bol! Oh well he can like it or lump it as there are two more meals of it in the freezer so that's 6 adult meals and 2 kiddie meals for £3.33 worth of yellow stickered beef. Result!
Getting the dreaded spending cravings and have a list of things that I think we need but will do my best to avoid the shops. Next day off is Friday so all being well I can keep out of them until then at least!
...I may give in to a BLT at work on Thursday possibly? Oh I have just remembered that i am out on a sales visit at work tomorrow which can only mean one thing....A free lunch woo hoo!!!Staring point of debt £23,343:mad:
