If i dont have sky i dont have anything. Thats pretty sad really if you work hard full time and cant afford to splash out £4.50 a week on your only source of fun. I cant afford clubs or to go out.
But, if you had cancelled your Sky TV package (which I understand it is too late to do now, but perhaps this may help in the future) you wouldn't lose all your TV services, you would be reverted to Freesat from Sky so you would still be receiving the non-pay services such as BBC, ITV, Five, CBS, FilmFour etc.
Admittedly, you would lose Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, GOLD, Dave and several other popular entertainment channels.0 -

You wouldn't have to.
Freesat and Freesat from Sky are not Freeview. They are digital satellite television services just like your existing Sky TV pay-TV service, with the only difference being they do not carry a monthly subscription.
They don't require an aerial but use the same satellite dish that you already have.
As I say though, if you're comfortable with your decision with regards to the Sky package you have then it is all fine. It is a little bit knocked off your monthly outgoings and will be a positive step.
For the future though, should you decide to ditch the Sky TV, don't feel that you'll be trapped without TV as your satellite dish will still continue to receive some channels regardless of whether you are paying or not. Remember, under Sky's terms, the equipment installed in your house is yours.0 -

You wouldn't need to do this. You would just get the Freesat channels via the sky box IIRC,Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0 -
Hi OP,
I would recommend you head over to the Debt-Free part of the site and post there you will get a huge amount of help with your finances.
For help with a DMP I would phone CCCS. Me and my OH are in the process of starting one with them and they can do a DMP with low amounts for repayments. Info about CCCS can be found on the Debt-Free part as well.
