But £46 per week is only £184, not £200. I realise you may be rounding things up (such as the £900 which was actually £872) for convenience purposes but it won't help you get out of the situation you are in. That is why I suggested you do the statement of affairs and post it on the DFW board because in your situation every penny needs to be accounted for due to the fact that the £16 difference between £200 and £184 is a significant sum when you are talking about having only £42 per month to pay debts with.

As for carboots - Scout troops will occasionally organise bring and buy sales. Keep an eye out. These are almost always under roofs.

    £200 a month is £46.15 per week.
There are 12 months in a year, but only one month has 4 weeks in it.
The cats and I need to eat on day 29, 30 & 31 as well:(

    Fair point, I'll concede.

Council tax is unfortunately one of those priority debts you must pay. Try having a chat with the council tax department explaining your situation & taking a income/expenditure statement with you and see if they can let you pay the arrears over time.

They are reducing my council tax by the single person rate and im hoping to spread that 335 over monthly payments.

Check this site out too - http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/

You don't have to buy online but it might give you an idea if a local supermarket is offering better value than the one you currently shop at.

My mum always shopped at Aldi and I have to be honest, their food wasn't bad at all though the fresh fruit and veg often didn't seem that fresh.
  • This is crazy.
I/we owe talktalk £111 as he hasn't been paying them. Theyve put this to a debt collector.
Ive just got the package reduced to 13.91 the lowest possible.
Unless I can give them the £111 they wont set up a direct debit to take next months 13.91. They want all or nothing. They said I will have to negoiate with the debt collectors for the future months too.
  • Left talk talk and got a new deal with sky.

£30.75 for sky & phone. Last month I was paying nearly £100 for sky and phone.

AOL wont lower the costs & the direct debit date is the 15th of the month & they say they cant change it to the 1st.

AOL are full of it, unfortunately. When your contract is due to expire, phone up asking for your MAC Code, then sit back and smile while they start offering you every deal under the sun to keep your custom. Even lie and tell them Tiscali or something will do £8.99 a month or something... they'll go down to that level to keep you.

I'm still not sure having Sky is best in your situation but at least it is something of a saving.

When we moved in my husband disconnected the ariel lead from the attic, as weve always had sky.
If i dont have sky i dont have anything. Thats pretty sad really if you work hard full time and cant afford to splash out £4.50 a week on your only source of fun. I cant afford clubs or to go out.
