Dont know why people bad mouth ryanair flights. Have flown with thm many tims booked through ryanairs own website an also travel republic. If you follow instructions when booing to the letter, eg not going over bagagge limit only one piece of hand luggage etc you will have no problem. Ryanair are always on time, it is a no frills airline so if you want luxury dont fly withthem! By the way save yourself some money 10kg of cabbin luggage is plenty for a wees holiday, no waiting at the carousel and no hold baggage charges:j
Much of what you say is true. However, Ryanair are not always on time.

Whilst they are not always on time, they do have one of the best on time records in Europe!
    Gone ... or have I?

I've flown Ryanair many times (purely because they have always been considerably cheaper than the alternatives) and in my experience they are almost always on time - mainly because they seem to add an extra 30 minutes to their flight times......

I have had a fair FX card for over a year, I use it when I travel abroad we load a small amount on it, and top it up as we need to, that way if it gets lost or stolen the rest of our money in our bank accounts is safe.
We've also used it to order travel money as we don't have any other credit cards, and have used it to book flights.
I also use it to save for xmas, I top it up a little every week, and then use it just before xmas.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

That they may well have, but, they are not "always" on time.

I flew to Marrakech with them in December and they were late both on the outbound leg and the inbound leg. Considerably late, at least 90 minutes late in both directions.

My friend flew in from Dublin in January and I went to pick him up from the airport and his Ryanair flight was more than 90 minutes late.
  • This works both ways though as I was £83 per person to book through Travel Republic with Aer Lingus but only £63 booking with them direct (they added on £12 for baggage but still cheaper at £75) :)

I have just returned from a weeks holiday to Portugal. I booked flights, hotel, and transfers through Travel Republic. It cost us a total of £330 for the both of us. Flights were with Ryan Air but booked through Travel Republic, we had no problems at all, and no extra charges. We just took hand luggage 10kg so avoided the extra luggage fee. We found Ryan Air fine, flights were on time.

So to summarise, booking through Travel Republic worked for us.
