Income - £419.88
Applicable Amount - £292.86
Excess Income - £127.02
Eligible Rent - £100.00
Minus 65% of excess income - £82.56
Equals - £17.44 Housing Benefit
And if they got DLA Care then that would only increase by £25.90 to £43.34 p/w.
You forgot the disregard of £27.10 to be added to applicable amount or deducted from excess income...Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0
