i dont need looking after or need care, plus i dont no what ESA IS.

Don't think it's nice calling someone a lazy git Melbi, i am in this situation at present and been off work for 4 weeks, i dont need looking after or have care needs but cannot walk or sit for any length of time due to a disc problem.

Melbi, I think you need to calm down. Let others give this OP advice.

my wife has a full time job earning 18000 a year, we rent and have all the useull bills ect, but i cant work for medical reasons, i am not aloud any benefits at all, no job seekers , no income support , no medial benefits ether, but my wife has just been told , she cant have no help on housing benefit or council tax help ether.

so why is there no help out there for me, plus is my wife earning to much to claim for housing benefit and council tax help.if so, isnt that not fair as well.

You either need to live alone or have worked enough to accumulate enough NI to make any claim that you suggest above!

Are you saying you have no income what so ever other than what your wife brings in???

If you have worked then you can claim any of the above benefits you mention as contribution based

Without knowing all the facts of OP's illness, which by the way is irrelevant to his query no-one can judge his circumstances unless he wants to reveal his diability that prevents him from working.

He has come to a decision that he knows he can't work and understands he's not entitled to any benefits.

It seems as we all would be that OP's partner (and himself) is frustrated at having not much excess income after their bills an wondered if SHE can claim anything.

I thought that was the reason for a benefits forum board........
