I have to admit that I shop at Curry's from time to time, and I view the higher prices as "impatience tax" - i.e. I want it NOW!

Also, RP2X, you have a point when you say it's sometimes easier to go via the manufacturer, however the point I (and others) are making is that this is the customer's choice, not DSG's.

  • I noticed these old posts from 2006, however have to report that Curry's still place the onnus on customer to get uplift codes from manufacturers before they will replace faulty goods they have supplied.

I had a new washing machine delivered last Thursday and it stopped half way through the first wash. It is taking them a week to supply a replacement machine, I have had to spend many hours on the phone with both Curry's and the manufacturer in order to solve this problem

Cuury's customer service department should be renamed Curry's service department as their is little to do with customer service and they do not seem that keep to satisfy the customer in anyway. Very bad experience - will not buy from Curry's again.

Never had much trouble with Curry's even after the 28 day money back policy they have taken stuff for repair although the repair department is USELESS.

I have had lots of trouble with Aldi as you HAVE to return it with your receipt and after 28 day call a number and they send a courier to pick the part up and send it back to the manufacturer I had lots of trouble with a TV/DVD combo, 6 times I sent it back I'm sure they just swapped it for another TV as it came back with different channels in the memory and different screen savers, gave up in the end and stopped using the DVD that kept giving the problems, now it forgets it's channels if it's turned off at the mains... that's not a major prob now as the analogue transmitters are now all turned off.
