Just emailed a possible photographer *fingers crossed*
    My shoes bought

Want to get my invites sorted now and i'm just toying with the idea of sending them with our picture on, i thought that'd be a nice keepsake. But i'm not sure how Groom will feel about that!
  • hey guys, hope everyones plans are going ok :) bit of a question - do any of you know anywhere thats cheap to get flowergirl sashes? ive bought the flowergirl dresses off ebay but they were the wrong colour sashs, now i can sew and i even considered making them myself but has anyone found anywhere cheap to buy them?

Im a budget bride but with a huge family and a huge bridal party so im trying to cut costs where i can and be very moneysaving :)
  • Have you checked ebay? they have everything you could ever dream of! or go to a fabric shop and see if anyone in there could make one?
  • I've booked for me and my Fiance to do our intent on Jan 2nd! very excited!
it's all coming together. I can't wait to go dress shopping i've seen so many dressed online i just want to find the style that suits me so i can buy it cheap online!

Don't know if you need any amendments for bridesmaid dresses as our dresses need taking up as we have two short bridesmaids so we're going to get the seamstress to make a sash from the bottom of the dress she is trimming. Perfect colour match :)

  • Had a crazy last 2 days! ME and H2B went and got our wedding rings ordered, also got his morning suit and yesterday i bought my wedding dress!! i'm so excited!

I am having trouble with the invites though - making them myself and folding the paper inserts perfectly is being a pain! sunday night i think i might sit down for the night after work and go for broke with them.
    Ahh i'm so excited!!
  • aworbey - how much do you think it would cost a seamstress to do - one of my bridesmaids lives in USA and her graduation is due around the same time as my wedding so she may not be able to make it so im thinking if she cant (shold hear in a few weeks) then im going to use her dress for the material for the bridesmaids sash.

Weve done 12 out of 38 invites :) were going for the pocketfold ones, i ordered a sample and used that as a template for the rest, up to now they have gone ok no major issues so fingers crossed the rest will be the same. Ive got my bridesmaids coming round on friday night to help start some little DIY bits i want. I went to try my dress on on thurs and found a gorgeous veil and bought that :) we are off to go visit the venue on wednesday and get everything written down what we want etc. Its all go go go this week for me x

Sorry I'm not sure as we're in the fortunate position to have a seamstress as my aunt so it wont be costing us anything. I cant imagine it'd be too expensive as if its only for a sash its not too difficult I'd say.

With regards to our invites, they all pretty much went out the weekend just gone, except for a few hand delivery ones, and we have our wedding website all up and running for RSVP's for those that dont want to send a physical card. All of our DIY bits are in full swing as well, with our photobooth, table signs and a centrepiece. Exciting!!!! 94 days!!!!!

  • I've just felt a bit sick reading your post aworbey! I've only just got in touch with someone to start sorting my invitations! You seem far too organised lol. How have you done your wedding website? I was thinking about doing one because we have lots of info and i don't want the invitations to be too cluttered but I don't know how to go about creating one.

I am far too organised its true but I just want the run up to be a stress free as I can make it as I know I’m a worrier lol. Plus we got engaged and started planning just under 2 years ago so I’ve had plenty of time to plan. Don’t worry too much about it, I’m probably too organised. I’m sure you’ll be fine! We’ve done our website through www.gettingmarried.co.uk and its fab. I can PM you a link to our website if you wanted me too, I’d rather not put it out on here as I don’t want loads of people viewing it who aren’t going to our wedding, but happy to send so you a link so you can crib ideas and see how ours looks. Although I’ve not chosen to password protect it, you can do if you so wished, and then just send the web address and password when you contact people.
