Hi All,

I know it may be a little early for some but I couldn't see one for May Brides & Grooms! Plus we're starting looking at things now as we want to keep the budget as low as we can while still getting all we want.

Hi, we have provisionally booked the 25th May 2013 - i say provisionally, there was another couple who have provisionally booked it and we are waiting to hear back whether they are actually having it or whether we can!! Fingers crossed, if not i may be a June bride.

Spoken and confirmed the church with the vicar and we are going to our venue next Thursday to show the parentals and hopefully put down a deposit. Still a long way away but doing this little bits is getting me excited

we have booked our venue, spoken to the church down the road from the venue and the priest has agreed he will marry us there so long as i get permission from our parish priest so i am at a children's party in the chuch hall tomorrow so i will nip over and speak to him. Fingers crossed he'll let us and then hopefully we will be going to pay the deposit this week. Think i may take my parents with me to do this and show them as they havent seen it and are contributing towards the reception. Also ive picked my colour scheme - lemon / yellow and have asked my bridesmaids and they have all said yes. Next thing is to start buying little bits for my invites / save the date cards etc. Its all very exciting!!

Well we havn't booked anything yet and tbh we may well push date back to May 2014 as that will be 10 years since we got together - just not sure I can wait that long lol!
Def want to marry as near to the end of may as poss though as that was when we got together.

Looked at some venues and planning to visit a couple and perhaps provisionally book them for 2013. Think i've decided on a colour theme and I know who my bridesmaids will be (my 3 daughters and my sister) Have also decided what I want for cake and wedding favours :rotfl:

We've now spoken to the vicar and she's confirmed we can have the date we want and also we've confirmed a date provisionally with the venue, going to see the wedding co-ordinator on Sunday to double check costs etc but hopefully by next wonday we'll have the wedding reception booked so it all gets a little bit more exciting!

We think we've pretty much decided on our colour theme now as well, going for a midnight blue. I think i'm more excited than my fiance at the minute, I'm sure it's meant to be the other way round :j

Woohoo deposit paid! Church and venue booked. Now we can relax and slowly plan all the other bits now

My partner and I are getting married on 5th May 2013 - on our 10th anniversary! I'm very excited and can't wait but it feels like ages away.
The main advantage is having the time to look around and save some money up.
My top tip is try and get as many freebies as possible. We've been enquiring to historic buildings or fancy big houses and getting free tours. Makes for a nice day out - Edinburgh Castle has been our best so far.

Oh OP that was my original date however I've just moved it to 1st April 2013 as the venue didnt realise it was Easter Monday and have guaranteed a midweek discount!

The first bank holiday in May always has lovely weather!! lol

Hey guys,

The OH and I are looking at May 2013 too!

He proposed last friday on my 30th birthday, biggest suprise ever and the best day of my life

We're hoping to get married in Las Vegas and combine it with the honeymoon but we haven't decided on a hotel yet. We'll then have a huge knees up back in the UK!

I have no idea about colours etc but we know who we want with us and I have pretty much decided on my dress and shoes! Just need to diet like mad
