Yeah thats a good idea Aworby - im the 25th May. Ill try and post the link (if i can figure out how to do it lol)

Im having my hair trial on tues - just got my hair peice and its absolutely gorgeous - well ive got two to try and then returning the other one - ive gone for either a side comb type or a side headband, tiaras didnt suit my dress.

and now my hubby to be and i are having a "cake off", my sister in law and myself make cakes for friends and family and ive just done my best friends cake for her wedding on friday - so we had decided we were going to do a his and hers cake as we couldnt decide - i wanted an elegant classy look, the OH wants a chocolate cake with cigarillos etc so he was bragging about how easy making a cake would be (he often helps with models etc so he does know a little bit) and we said to him and his brother who also helps occasionally that we should each do our own - this brought out his competetive side and he has now suggested we do a cake off and get our guests to decide who is the winner and win a prize or do a forfeit at the evening time - the only problem is his idea what he wants to create is fantastic - just lets see if he manages to pull it off!

Hi all can I please join in? I get married 25th May (40 days eeeek!!)
Pretty much everything is booked and paid, had a massive hassle when in the same week, our hairdresser,make up artist and videographer all cancelled! Luckily we've managed to find replacements, and I actually think they are better than the originals :-)
Just heaps of fiddly bits left, kids shoes, jewellery. And a TONNE of diy projects to do e.g personalised dressing gowns, finger print tree, photo booth and so much more!
Glad to see Im not the only one having nightmares too!x

Great to read the updates! I'm getting married on 31st! Everything is going ok for us. I'm starting to get a few butterflies - not nervous, just excited! The only real disaster so far is OH's mum and brother saying they probably won't come (they haven't rsvp'd). They have no good reason, just can't be bothered. I know he is upset, but won't fall out with them about it. I want to have a blazing row with them (which isn't like me at all!) but should let him take the lead on how he wants to handle it.

The only other minor thing was a 'senior registrar' sent a very rude email telling me off for not putting a more detailed subject in my email enquiry. It wasn't what I wanted on a friday afternoon after a long stressful shift at work. It really upset me, the way it was worded. What they were saying wasn't unreasonable, I just felt humiliated. I didn't want to complain though because I don't want to rock the boat!

My family are being brilliant. My parents are so generous in terms of their time/money/attention. They just want us to have an amazing wedding!

mrsg2b of course, welcome! Glad to see you're all sorted, even with the let downs.

I have to say our family have done so much for us money/time/attention too, couldn't have done it without them.

I've updated the first post with all the dates I could see confirmed in the thread but feel free to let me know if I have missed anyone off!

Ooo Mrsg2b were date twins i also had my photographer cancel on us but we found a replacement and i love him! Our original photographer photographed my best friends wedding on friday just gone and i was a little disheartened because she is fab but the shots she was doing werent what we wanted and our new photographer is so much fun and really understands what we want etc so im glad she cancelled now in the grand scheme of things, at the time i was absoultely heartbroken but i suppose if thats the only major thing to go wrong then its not all bad!

Weve heard back that my oh's granddad isnt coming which im a little annoyed about but didnt expect anything less. Apparently its too far - 15 minute drive as we live 30 miles away so kinda met in the middle with the venue for both families, OH's dad is attending so he could go with them but he didnt really seem bothered about the whole thing anyway. Got the rest of my RSVP's back now so we can finally start on my table plan / place names. We go to see our wedding coordinator on the 4th May for the last time to confirm final numbers etc. Cant believe how quick this year has come round!

Getting near now (4th May) , and the weird dream have begun , in the last few days I have dreamt I dyed my hair navy blue and was panicking about getting some Head and Shoulders to try and wash it out before the hairdresser saw it :eek:

I also dreamt I had a baby boy and couldnt remember its name !!
I was in a right panic as I had visitors who had come to see the baby and I was surropticiously trying to read the cards they had brought to see if they had put the name in ! :rotfl:

Than last night I dreamt the ceremony was all over and I suddenly remembered all the flowers , buttonholes and wands were still in a box unused

Its definitley on my mind when I'm asleep

I've now had my second hair trial which I was really happy with and received our personalised cake topper which is absolutely fantastic and I couldn't be more over the moon with it :-)
