    Evening All.

Marie, I know how you feel, and I don't even have any links to Japan; my heart breaks every time I see it on the news. How do you ever get your life back from something like that?

Spendless Karen haven't seen you around for ages*, hope you are having a lovely birthday, I will leave some cake for you too. :D

Rosyred, I am doing Rose Elliot's vegetarian low carb diet, I bought it from Amazon thinking it was a recipe book :o which it is, but its actually a proper diet plan. I am not too keen on how she writes, and her fondness for mentioning Stevia every tenth page is getting on my wick, but the recipes are good, and its easy for me to follow.

After school I took the boys to Aldi and Mr T and spent too much money, but the big jars of Douwe Egberts are on offer for £2.99 again, so I bought *ahem* a "few" as OH is a coffee fiend. I was short of some herbs and spices, so had to stock up on those two, and bought some things that I normally wouldn't buy, for my new eating plan, to stop me getting bored. And razors for OH - they are so expensive!

Spag bol for the menfolk tonight and tofu grills with mushroom cream sauce for me.

I watched this on BBS Scotland last night, it was fantastic, although I did cry a few tears at the final story, well worth a watch if you can open it. The Clydebank Blitz

    - congrats!

Feeling a bit better now :). I've decided to attempt work tomorrow. Had lenthy chat with my boss and colleagues earlier about it. My arguement is I don't feel any worse than I have done for last 10weeks and I managed to work ok then. The only reason I was off work last week was cos of the way I reacted to tablets, then the abscess, not cos of the actual vertigo. The only thing I currently can't do is drive (especially the minibus) but other than that tablets aren't affecting me now. Work had already arranged cover for me this week with a colleague and new starter. So i am just gonna tag along for the rest of week. colleague is going to drive, and I can just take a back role in what my kids are up to. It's a relatively easy week anyway. So finger's crossed I'll be ok to go back.

I've had a bit of a spring clean and tidy today. Sorted some paperwork out and made some calls too.

BM has finally gone on! Only had lunch at 3.30 so may not make any dinner as I'm currently still stuffed.

    have a good evening all

    Evening

Been MIA for a few days as have been working and I did an extra shift as well so I am very tired.

Came in this morning from work and went with OH to get some food shopping as our cupboards were empty. Spent too much because I was so tired I didn't plan it out. We shop in M&S for our food and I normally find this cheaper than the supermarkets (because there is nothing other than food unlike the supermarkets where i end up buying tons of non food stuff) but today our bill was a bit more than usual but I have a fridge full of stuff that will no doubt last more than a week.

So i'm off for 4 nights now. I am having a nice glass of bucks fizz and am spending the evening on the sofa.

Tomorrow I AM going to the gym (we pay a ridiculous ammount on our membership but rarley use it) I am not big (in height or round ness) but I just feel urgh so hoping some excercise will make me feel better. OH took the kids swimming there tonight but I was too tired to go.

Need to charge my Nano and download a few new songs to get me going when I'm pounding the treadmill. I have money left on my itunes card so it won't cost me anything.

:o I missed the granny bit, sorry Rosyred. What lovely news. Now, who is it that's going to be a gran and we had to keep it a secret, because I thought it was you?

Congrats to Rosyred, you are just a couple of weeks behind me, similar situation with DS1 and GF but they are happy to be together.
Well done to the weight losses.

Happy Birthday to Bitsy and Karen, hope you are having a fab day.:beer::beer::beer:

Thinking of the poor folk in Japan, they seemed to have everything going their way but this is so devastating, my heart goes out to them.

Been cold all day today - very envious of those with sunshine. At work we had a whole school photo and it was freezing! We had to be on the staging for about half an hour, it was about 3 degrees with a biting wind and a bit drizzly. May have to stay off tomorrow to warm up!!
Took a lovely salad for my lunch (wish it had been soup I was so cold) and made a chicken and mushroom pie for tea with veg. First time I have ever made it and it was lovely. It used up the puff pastry that was lurking in the fridge, I also made a cheese and onion pastie (large) with the rest of the pastry. DD can have some of that tomorrow for her tea.
Talking of DD she has an interview tomorrow at the Golf Club for the housekeeping department. Glad really as it may teach her to keep this place tidy!
Hugs to those with problems, Hester I hope things get sorted. Take care. XX
