Thank you for the birthday wishes
Have been very spoilt with pressies, Wii game, CD, DVD and some money to spend. I did also have my Big Shot die cutter in Jan as an early pressie too
having my mum and dad round for a very MSE birthday tea. Am making HM pizza, spent a bit more on ingredients (eg basics mozarella rather than my usual cheddar, bought some chorizo as a treat to put on and I have some peppers to use up too). Pud will be HM apple pie that I made last year with ice cream or custardAll a darn sight cheaper than eating out and not too much washing up
Heading out this morning for a walk in the sunshine while DD is at pre school. Still working this afternoon but that's my usual 3 hours so don't mind that. Joints are slowly getting better which is good. Even managed to put my own bra on this morningI just have a husband who's joints are getting worse and he won't stop complaining about it <rollseyes>
So other than putting the vac round which HAS to be done I foresee a nice day ahead
Bargainbird - hope it goes well with your interview x
mummysaver - a friend of mine has to have physio for SPD and her physiotherapist wants to put her forward for a C section at between 34 and 36 weeks!
cheapskate -to the council. Things have been really tought for you, hope they improve asap xxx
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a great day OS or not.
Happy birthday Bitsy & Karen! Hope it's been a good one for you both.
Bitsy - not so much the council, they just implement what the valuation office says - think summat fishy's going on! You're right that lots of things have been carp for us the last few years, just get on an even keel & then the rug's pulled out again! (Sorry to mix metaphors, but too tired to be bothered!)
Having jacket spuds & salad for tea, apple & yogurt for pud, hoping to do some baking when the littlies are in bed. Off to price up bed for DS2 & try to get ordered - hope we can get kids swapped in the bedrooms well before Easter - changes round like this always make me feel better!
See you later

Lots of crocheting done this afternoon, only 10 wks til DGs no 2 makes an appearance so need to get on and finish his blanket. Feel like making some little baby things next and love working with baby wool:D
DH has done his VAT this afternoon and was so exhausted we had an afternoon siesta before the boys got home:D
Dont fancy the leftover lamb for some reason for tea, might have to swap some meals around.
Managed to get 3 Nora Roberts books from the library that I haven't read :T so when they all disappear to play snooker I shall start one of those.

afternoon everyone, i've had a expensive day, i spent £130 online on summer clothes, now i know it's only march but i wanted to take the twins swimming but they don't fit in there shorts, saw loads of stuff i loved on the next site suddenly i had £180 in my basket and that just the twins, thought !!!!!! that and went on asda spent £80 but also got myself a dress and hubby 2 pairs of shorts, then i went on sports direct and spent another £50 however this uncludes loads of stuff, including sandals for the kids and me, the only person who didn't get anything is my youngest cause i couldn't find anything i like for him so i still need 2 order from next
altho supermarkt prices have def went up (espicially tesco) for clothes it's now at the point that next is only a few pound dearer
os wise i made some curry sauce this morning but i havent acually turned it into a curry, i'm very tempted to stick it in the fridge for tomorrow, but then i have no idea what to do for tea suppose i maybe just get up and do the curry lol, other than that it was the same old dw/wm

welcome home lamewolf
Well, we saw two of the four proporties - the other two the vendor hadn't shown up to let the agent in so we didn't get to see them (and you actually want to sell your house??!?!). One was okay, old but well looked after and vendor seemed really lovely, but probably not for us. The other was dire. It had an 8 foot chainlink fence down two sides of the garden - backed onto a communal park and was opposite a primary school.
Oh and someone had spray-painted obsecenities on the side of it facing the path to up the park :eek: :rotfl::rotfl: Search goes on I guess.
We are due to se another on tomorrow at 4pm. It has no bathroom, what appears to be storage heaters that time forgot, laminate flooring that has escaped up one of the lounge walls in homage to Finnish Sauna Chic and has been on the market for at least a year according to propertybee *sigh* My will to live has just called a taxi.

Happy Birthday Bitsy & Spendlesskaren,:bdaycake:hope you are both enjoying your days.
I could have sworn I posted earlier, but cant find it now-mustnt have pressed submit, then DS2 will have obliterated it when he nabbed the lappie.Mind you we were both a bit distracted earlier, getting ready to go out,and I can now announce I am going to be a granny for the first time :j,and it was the 12 week scan this afternoon, attended by both grannies to be as well as future mum and dad.:D
Not planned but never mind...the only trouble is they dont know if they want to be a couple any more( well DS2 does, but GF unsure)
-she's quite a bit younger than he is.They are good friends though, and she is being careful to include us.So not an ideal situation, and not the way I pictured first grandchild arriving, but I suppose I'm old fashioned that way:o.
So a busy couple of days for DS2-baby scan today,MRI scan tomorrow on his back. He's trying to save like mad,but being off sick is hampering his efforts.
Pork chops and l.o roasties, and veg for tea.I'm trying to resist the l.o fruit crumble.
Have a good evening folks x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Hi all,
Happy birthday Bitsy and Karen,
Lame Wolf...nice to see you, stay well.
Congratulations to the weight losers....
Really upset about the whole Japanese thing, seems as if their troubles are far from over too....DS1, DDIL and DGD2 are due to visit her parents next month, not sure that they will go now, although family are in Kyushu so good distance away....at present no trains are running at least in Northern part of country and there is no food in shops, but the huge loss of life is worst, Japanese houses are so small and packed together in cities that the final toll will be huge.
Paid €75 to-day to book swimming lessons....I could 'kind of' swim donkeys years ago but have not been in the water for a long time so about time I bit the bullet....was one of my new year resolutions so at least am getting started.
Dinner to-day was ham, mange tout and parsnips mashed into potatoes....to fool DGS2 into eating them....also insisted he had at least 5 mange tout....he had quarter of pineapple for pudding so I guess he is fine as he will have had an apple and maybe a banana earlier.
Have started second front of DD3's jacket, seems to be turning out ok and taking less wool than I expected.
Enjoy the rest of the day, hugs to all in need or want of one, stay safe

:bdaycake:Happy birthday Karen, hope you've had a good one.
So lovely to see sunshine. It didn't feel late when I got home and I felt like doing some chores. I've recently just wanted to draw the curtains and veg in front of the lappy or t.v. as it has been so dark and drear.
hugs for all who need or want them, Silver xOutside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.
