Morning all
Happy birthday Bitsy :bdaycake:Hope you have a fab day (and that you are feeling better) xx
Another glorious start to the day here, if I'm gonna be forced to be off work then I'm gonna enjoy the sunshine. Will sit on balcony later with a book I think.
I'm trying to ring Drs now to see what to do about sicknote/working etc but keep getting phone message saying that they are closed, I'm sure they open at 8am though <insert confused smilie>. There are 2 branches of it so may try the other one if no answer by 8.30.
OS wise - I'm gonna tidy a bit today, due to abscess not been able to bend down to pick up things (not that vertigo helps with this either!) so my floors are a bit cluttered. May hoover too. If I can find enough clothes I'll put a small wash on too.
Have a great day all

Bitsy
Going to be a good day today - not going to let little things (like DS1) get to me. Hugs to everyone. Dinner gammon cooked last night made into a stirfry for me, with potatoes and veg for the rest. I'm using up last nights stirfry again!
Horrifying news about Japan coming through all the time. Thoughts and prayers with them.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

Morning my lovelies
Thank you for the birthday wishes
Have been very spoilt with pressies, Wii game, CD, DVD and some money to spend. I did also have my Big Shot die cutter in Jan as an early pressie too
having my mum and dad round for a very MSE birthday tea. Am making HM pizza, spent a bit more on ingredients (eg basics mozarella rather than my usual cheddar, bought some chorizo as a treat to put on and I have some peppers to use up too). Pud will be HM apple pie that I made last year with ice cream or custardAll a darn sight cheaper than eating out and not too much washing up
Heading out this morning for a walk in the sunshine while DD is at pre school. Still working this afternoon but that's my usual 3 hours so don't mind that. Joints are slowly getting better which is good. Even managed to put my own bra on this morningI just have a husband who's joints are getting worse and he won't stop complaining about it <rollseyes>
So other than putting the vac round which HAS to be done I foresee a nice day ahead
Bargainbird - hope it goes well with your interview x

Good morning.
Happy Birthday Bitsy
The sun is shining here, but it's frosty. The house elf and I started planting our seeds yesterday. Dwarf sunflowers in a bucket, and some tumbling tomatoes and some flower seeds in little pots. The bucket and the propagator are both in the shower cubicle with the door shut as it's the only place we could think of where the cats won't dig them up. It means a stealth operation when I want to have a shower, I have to close the bathroom door and take the plants out of the shower, then make sure I replace them and close the cubicle door before I open the bathroom door, sigh.
I am up to date with the washing and ironing and most of the cleaning. I have two bin bags to take to the tip today - one is garden rubbish that I picked up yesterday. Just the remnants of bags and junk left behind after the builders last year as well as the overspill of earth/twigs etc from the flower beds onto the paving stones. My friend is going to build me some decking in the sunny bit of the garden where the shed used to be, so I need to find some nice (cheap) furniture for out there when it's done.
Flutterby I hope you start to feel better soon.
Take care all of you, and thinking of those poor souls in Japan.0 -
Happy Birthday Bitsy hope you are spoiled rotten.
News is very sad at the moment. It makes our woes seem small fry in view of what's happening in Japan.I just watched a lady standing in the street looking totally bereft, she had found her DD, but her son is missing I can't imagine how that must feel, not to know where your loved ones are.
Today I am taking my car for a deep clean at the local car cleaners They do a 'special' on a Monday for pensioners and its £8.00 instead of £10.00 and that's inside and out which is brilliant.I have a 7 seater MPV , so its a big car and a lot taller than I am,so its money well spent in my opinion.
Uni tonight and we are studying Windsor and its environments so that should be interesting I have the title for my next essay and I may make a start on it later today.
2000 words on why the London docks failed after a thousand years, that should keep me busy for awhile
Well time for the school run Have a great day everyone

Morning all
Well I managed 8+ hours sleep last night which made a huge diference to how I feel. Gave myself a talking to yesterday cos I'm fed up of being tired all the time and unmotivated about everything!!
So more sleep, and no alcohol this week and see if it'll make a difference. Got a busy work week too, but working at home today.
WM will go on later and DW about to be emptied.
Hope to post more regularly too!

Morning All,
Glorious sunny morning, frosty but beautiful.
Got lots done this weekend, all the seeds potted and on the windowsill including onions, spring onions, courgette, leeks, cabbage and broad beans, plus som flowers, including sweet peas as they are my favourites. Also got loads of strawberry plants and planted a raspberry cane. This is our third year growing veg and we have concentrated on the foods we find most useful in the kitchen:D
Working at home with DH as its Monday. I need to potter round and tidy, just one basket of washing left to put away.
Food wise was excellent yesterday and also did 20 mins in the Wii
Going to do the same today.:j:j:j
Tea will be leftover lamb from yesterdays lunch and they boys will finish off the chocolate orange fudge cake, I will be having Jelly and Yoghurt:A
We need to have a very frugal month and try and put every spare penny in the bank, also will not be accepting any more meal invitations as we just can't afford it. If anyone asks I will invite theem to us, much cheaper and usually better food:D
Anyway I have waffled enough.
Have a lovely Birthday Bitsy:beer: Have a good day everyone J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

How funny, my Doctor is off sick :rotfl:(shouldn't really laugh!). Receptionist said to ring back tomorrow as nothing can be done til Day 8 anyway and hopefully they can issue note via phone, which is great for me as I live 40mins from there so would have to drive to get there which wouldn't help. It's by my parents so my Dad can go get it and bring it to me if they do it by phone.
