Thanks for all the laughs, there have been quite a few this evening, I think the best has to be the 'Group Hug' nudge, nudge, wink, wink! Night all, sleep tight!
Oh you have just set me off again!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I think most do, not sure if you saw i replying to somebody else who said their store only offered exchanges.
Yes, I did see that - I knew you were saying you didn't think it was fair and I was just agreeing with you. The OP should really take her stores refusal up with HQ.ELITE 5:2

If Tesco's prices WERE really lower than Asda's I think The Grocer Magazine (industry bible) would have noticed during the last 13 years they have named Asda as the cheapest supermarket...this is just typical Tesco confusion marketing - just like their 'real baskets' promotion. They know that 99% of their customers can't be *rsed to even input a few numbers on a web site.0

Agreed.
You don't sign any contracts. Their T&C's don't even say "By submitting this voucher to Tesco you agree to obey to T&C's".
Does nobody understand that simply by entering your receipt details and printing your voucher you are agreeing to the terms and conditions?! YOU HAVE TO SIGN NOTHING!!!0 -
And exactly why do they bother running this promotion? To give you free £100 worth of goods? Really? Is that the only purpose of this promotion?
No, there is no such thing as free lunch. They are running this promotion to send advertising message out to the general public that their prices are lower than ASDA's. And clearly their prices aren't lower since people are claiming £££.
And if they were to track people down and try and get them to pay back any amount they have claimed, the media would be informed and the headline would read
'Tesco taking legal action after millions of pounds were claimed back'
Meaning tesco lose their price promise war as clearly everyone will be thinking OMG tesco must be loads dearer than asda.0 -
I'm getting a little tired of the way this thread is going too.. I'm going to bow down to all you lawyers and tesco experts.
Hopefully in the morning we can get back to the deals and offers and the great community spirit we had before. Night all... don't get too tipsy!Comping wishlist for 2017

I dont condone going over the £100 limit, because as rightly pointed out this offer will get pulled for everyone, but i wouldnt of thought they could trace you through the vouchers, whats to say your email address asnt been used by someone else for example, and what could they prosecute you for??? Surely the onus is on the shop staff on the tills to say the till is showing youve reached your limit. Imnot sure but if the bar codes are all the same the only way they could get you is through you club card, credit card
I agree with you about the email address. In fact I have accidentally discovered that you don't even need to use a valid email address ! I accidentally used an old email addy (I changed providers a while back and got a new email address) by mistake - probably due to too much Baileys - and got worried when no reply came back for several days. Thinking about it, I realised I'd been a daft moo and used the old addy - but I was still able to get the voucher cos I went back to the input screen and used all the same details (including the 'duff' email addy) and up popped the voucher !
PS Before anyone jumps on me - this was a genuine daft moment and not something I recommend doing.ELITE 5:2

It only takes a couple of minutes to make up an email address, so everytime you put in your new reciept just use a new account. Maybe someone who is after a £100 DTD voucher its worth it0
