Cyclists are thick !

- Drivers who don't have adequate visibility because of their illegally tinted windows aren't thick at all... they are just pratts.
Or have fluffy animals, muppets, fraggles, elmo's and god know's what else blocking all their windows.... :rotfl:“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Erm... what's that got to do with anything? If it's a random observation, maybe I can add a few of my own?

- Dog owners who don't pick up their dog's turds because they think no one can see them aren't thick at all... they are just pratts.
- Lawyers who defend people knowing that they're guilty aren't thick at all... they are just pratts.
Not a random observation at all.... merely responding to the thread title. Yes, your examples may be true but no relevence to cyclists.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
Seeing as the cyclist was coming from the opposite direction, I don't think the OP could have been held up.
More than likely you're correct.Strider590 wrote: »
Exactly... And Im beginning to think this is what the OP actually did.
It comes down to frustration of being held up by a cyclist.
Cyclist gets through the junction but prevents the OP driving behind so the OP sounds horn in annoyance. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Everyone has a right to a legal defence, irrespective of their guilt or innocence. It is a basic tenet of a democratic and civilised society. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

I find the cyclist on the bonnet blocks my view more.0 -
If I saw a child run into the road in front of a car I'd be more inclined to shout than just keep quiet
Same principle really0 -

OP states they stayed behind the cyclist.
"I was following a road cyclist, female, recreational sports not commuter and as we were coming up to a mini roundabout stayed behind"“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Aah yes, you are correct. However, the cyclist was going quite fast apparently and the OP would have been held up by the car already on the roundabout anyway. So, the cyclist posed no obstruction to the OP, only a danger to herself and other road users. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
