It think it will depend on the type of credit card used and the agreement.

I know that corporate Amex cards have a credit check (one was refused for somebody in a past job) and that those are under a joint and several agreement.

yes 2 years have flown :)

been handed the forms today to "apply" for the card ...
gotta say im not really happy with it as it looks like im going to need a credit check.
    Its for NatWest...
    One form is
Limited Company or Limited Partnership Additional Party/Remove a Party Form
    another is
Additional Cardholder Form for NatWest business card accounts
    another is
Mandate Company or Limited Liability Partnership

anyone any ideas if they will do a credit check?

    cheers in advance again

I would think you only need to fill in the additional cardholder form.

That's what I was thinking, looks like they're giving you a choice of what type of card you have.

i was told its because im not already a NatWest customer
    does that sound right?
  • I've had several company credit cards with different jobs. I'm not BR but do have huge debts, a DMP, defaults and a terrible credit rating.

Each time I have just filled in the additional cardholder form and everything has been fine. These cards were with RBS (I don't bank with these) and Barclays (I do bank with these).

    Hope this helps.

Just thinking aloud..... if they did credit check and you failed, would they be able to discuss this with your company anyway?....data protection and all that?...

people fail credit checks for all sorts of reasons?
  • come back from your lurking, you are always needed here
