I used some fab A5 note pads I found in Papercahse, £2.25 each & half lined paper & half plain so suitable for adding photos, drawings etc. I made 4 up in one go & printed all the questions on sticky lables so I just stuck them into each book in order. On the first page I wrote a little peice about how it worked (called it a "circular gift as hopefully it would eventually be given back). I can post the questions & spiel if anyone is desperate.

My evil MiL actually paid me a compliment (well, there's a first time for everything) over hers & is avidly filling it in for our son:D She thinks thay are a fantasitc idea & wants me to make her another 2 for her other grandsons:D

    HTH & good luck;)

I have done 3 huge 12x12 scrapbooks and have worked in the scrapbooking industry, and they all went down a treat, if anyone would like any decorating advice, help with colours, fastenings, ribbons etc please let me know Pm or post on this thread so we can all share ideas.

My next project is a mini memory book for my cousin's 21st. My starting place will be our old photos together....for fashion page etc, and i will be taking some ideas off this thread but putting MY MEMORIES in for her (as per scrapbooks above)

I think for xmas my mum, dad and grandad will be getting a memory book that they should fill out for me and my kids! they will hopefully love it!

Again if anyone needs any helpwith decorating PLEASE let me know, id be only to glad to help!

Could this be made into a seperate thing, I think it would be really useful to others who would not think to look in the christmas sections.

Anyways, this is a really fab idea, my nanna is just recovering from breast cancer and my granda has terminal lung cancer, I am the eldest of their grandchildren, with the youngest being 8, and one great grandson due to arrive in April.

I think it would be a fantastic way of being able to remember our grandparents, esp. with such a wake up call.

Could someone give ideas of how to get started, do you make the books yourselves or are they shop bought

OK, I've finished my HM memory books for my parents, MiL, hubby & myself. I can post a list of the questions I have used if anyone wants me too.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to word a covering note explaining them? My Son can't do it as he's only 1 so it'll have to come from me on his behalf, & my parents & MiL aren't going to get the gist of this straigt away as it's something completely different for them. All ideas appreciated!

    Cheers;)
Yes please, a list of questions would be really appreciated, many thanks!x

My thanks button isn't working ... but thank you all for your posts this week, they have been helpful. I just wish I'd made one of these for my grandma, lovely lady she was, she did start to write a diary of memories but didn't get very far ... but at least we know how she met my Grandad, very romantic they were.
