Can you give me some inspiration for my memories book please? I was going to produce one each for my Mum, Dad and the in-laws for Christmas with questions for them to answer for my two boys, so that they find out more about Granny as a child etc. Was going to call it 'Tell Us About The Olden Days'!!
What questions should I include? I would be really interested to read your suggestions and will include as many as possible. Many thanks!

What a fantastic idea, i'll be following this thread with interest. What about including questions about best christmas memories, who they spent christmas with? what was a traditional christmas dinner, then more general with pets, school memories, hobbies. I'm going to get my two started on one for my parents this weekend.
Good luck and have fun.January budget

How about memories of their grandparents? I find this question useful as I am trying to trace my family tree... with only one surviving grand parent I have to get as much info out of her as possible!
What about the price of a loaf of bread/pint of milk when they were a certain age... or a bunch of bananas... not may kids now would realise that you couldn't always get them at the supermarket...
A few war time stories might be good to throw in if they are the right age parents/grandparents... what it was like to be a kid during the war/rationing etc.
Picture of them in the "latest" fashions? Bound to raise a few smiles!Debt free date - June 2008 :T :T :T0 -
I thought of another one... their favourite sweets when they were young..Debt free date - June 2008 :T :T :T0

I actually purchased three of these kind of books from Past Times a couple of years ago for my gran and my parents to fill in. My gran has sadly passed away now but it is lovely to have a record of her life. The book is called "The Story of Our Life" - A Grandparents Book. When I have a few mins I will dig it out and give you some of the section titles. Happy compiling - Shirley0

I've gone for books but I can see that folders would be a good idea, too, as you can add bits and pieces at a later date - nice idea! That's Numberwang!0
