Nationwide: does anyone logon with the card reader?

As the Nationwide online banking has used the card reader logon for a little while now, I was wondering if anyone actually uses it to login?
I always click the alternative option and just use my passwords.
Does anyone choose to use the card reader? If yes, is there a reason why?

I don't... I hate the whole card reader carp... I don't want to have to carry the stupid card reader around with me all the time...
I think its Halifax that instead take your mobile number and ring / text you with the verification code... much better IMHO.A big believer in karma, you get what you give :A

No - I always use the Memorable data instead. I find the display on the card reader difficult to deal with and so will not use it unless it is absolutely necessary. Though I suspect they will drop the Memorable option at some time in the future.0

yes, I always use it, but that's mainly because I have a cardreader built into my computer.0

No don't use it, if I am forced to use it, I will close my accounts.0

I do if I have bills to pay. If you log in using the card reader it doesn't ask you to verify each transaction with a passcode.0

Bit of a harsh knee jerk reaction.

Not at all, I have accounts with other banks that manage very well without using some cheap and nasty card reader.
I am free to use whichever bank that I choose.
I assume that you have spare batteries for your card reader?0 -
