Just to add that the original levy from last year indicates that their debt collection practices are illegal. There is no way those goods are sufficient to cover the debt, so it should have been returned to the Coumncil as unenforceable.

And why are you not getting COuncil Tax benefit to cover this?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • I am receiving council tax benefit now but I was on maternity allowance and didn't know I had to still cover full council tax rates, they added another 65 on which made the balance 455 which now they just won't talk to me any more over the phone since the bailiff is saying I told him to take full payment which, I didn't and to king 100 he never even did a lecy for the account in question that I'm having probs with I questioned him about this and he told me I didn't need to sign or see anything , I have no paper work from him what's so ever my balance was 203 untill he stepped out of his car and went to 445 some how

    Please Vanessa

    1. Contact council and ask how much liability order is for?

According to a FOI I did on my council, the bailiff has 10 working days to reply to a request made by eother telephone or in writing.

Halowitch you might enjoy the reply I got.

The guy is trying it on.

He should actually let you have any and all paperwork that he has.

You really need to start writing letters to council and bailiff.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

Everything in writing from now on.

Trying to find some templates you can use.

do you have copy's of the liability orders
do you have the letters from the council informing you that a liability order has been granted against you giving you 14 days to pay before enforcement

just posted the form where they list good on but there was nothing on it and I never signed it or returned it,

Does this relate to the new account
    when did you receive it
when you say nothing written on do you mean no goods
does it have date ref No Amount outstanding bailiffs name
Is the ref No different from the other 2 accounts

have you confirmed with the council the date all liability orders were sent to rossendales
