  • Hi Glossy123,

If you go into your pitch and then click on an item the second heading down under the picture says 'page views'.

I haven't sold anything yet so I can't answer your first query!

But I have bought a book for my daughter and hopefully that will arrive in a couple of days - the seller seems really friendly.

I'm an antiques dealer and a large percentage of my sales are through Ebay. Recently I came across a new auction site called https://www.gavel.co.uk which is offering free listings and no commission charges. It seems kosha .....

    Rob.

Just to be a pedant but it's KOSHER, not Kosha.

And it does look a bit odd. When people say "I came across this site recently" always rings alarm bells in my head, because it's usually subtitles for "I made this site recently and now I'm spamming it to as many people as I can find".
At least it has a privacy policy. Which is a start.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

    Thanks For The Site Xx
  • has anyone has much dealings with cqout?? I joined - costs you £2 and listed an item - i advertised elsewhere and when sold I went to pull it but had just been sold on CQout and the buyer elected to pay by their secure pay escrow service. I informed CQout what had happened and they refunded the buyer but charged my credit card £5.97 for a cancelled transaction - they state in their T and C if the seller pulls out for whatever reason they have to fork out the charges for the escrow service.

Sorry can't help as I've never even heard of cqout. However I assume that if they are merely doing what they said in the terms and regs then you have no argument against them.

not free to list - see

    http://www.gavel.co.uk/fees.aspx

    you have to buy credits.........!

Not while the site is trying to attract customers, it is currently free. And afterwards the cost of listing will be a minimum of 50p max 1pound, which is really good.

I hope it is a successful site.
  • Ive had it with ebay!

Ive switched to listing on https://www.gumtree.com (which is better)
and im looking into using https://www.ebid.co.uk

Is ebid any better besides being free to list?

    Are there any other sites?
