Is a thread re a free goody bag for kids. Says worth 30 pounds and just need pay postage and packing which is 3.98. I have just ordered one. Thought it might be good for little goodies to pad out hampers. Here is link to original thread that was posted.

Oh... one more thing. Has anyone ever wrapped a hamper with brown paper (the sort you wrap parcels with)? I did my presents in it last year with gingham ribbons wrapped round and it looked really effective. I'm trying to work out if I could do that with the hampers as I give the presents to the In Laws a week before Christmas as I go back home. I figure I could sort of concertina (sp?) it and tie it at the top with some ribbon?

I bought a huge roll from poundland recently i think it would work but might need folding father than scrunching like you say concertina style ,the gingham ribbons sounds good and a gingerbread heart tag would look nice too

    Might steal that idea!!

Between all of us in the North East almost every female up here will receive a hamper this christmas - its the law of averages! x

  • As usual, all these hampers are looking fantastic. I'd be so happy to receive one when it's obvious so much thought has gone into it.

I've decided to make some home made treats and present them hamper-style in a festive tin. I'm sure there were lots of tins around last year but this year I can only find these at M&S

Anyone seen any christmas tins on their travels?

I have had ones from Wilkinsons in previous years - good prices too.
Can't see any online - but I think I paid about £2 each

That's where I got mine from too! :T I love my pound shops! We've got 2 poundlands and a 99p shop where I live! I'm actuall planning on getting a lot of my food hamper stuff from there! The 99p shop sells loads of lovely olives, sundried toms, herbs and spices etc that look like I could have bought them from a deli! At least that's the plan!

Nothing to do with the fact that there are at least 5 people from the NE on this very thread :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
