spugzbunny wrote: »Oh... one more thing. Has anyone ever wrapped a hamper with brown paper (the sort you wrap parcels with)? I did my presents in it last year with gingham ribbons wrapped round and it looked really effective. I'm trying to work out if I could do that with the hampers as I give the presents to the In Laws a week before Christmas as I go back home. I figure I could sort of concertina (sp?) it and tie it at the top with some ribbon?
I managed to wrap a friends birthday hamper using normal birthday wrapping paper and it looked quite good- it was my first wrapped hamper and i managed alright, just had to tape a few bits on the inside of the paper together if that makes sense just so it wasnt gaping at all but it worked. I think the brown paper idea would work a treat!! sounds good!!

I have been to a bigger boots and picked up the £15 worth of soap and glory then got my freebie gift set. I actually spent £16 but got a free £5 voucher with that and then purchased the other bits for OH in a seperate transaction and got another one so I ended up going back around the store and picked up a couple of ruby and millie bits and again paid seperately so I could use the vouchers lol 2 items at £1 each so a big massive thankyou I will put together a hamper later on and hopefully it will look more expensive than it was as I plan to use the miniatures for someone else
Rusty - I went to Boots in town this morning before work and they had a few of the Soap and Glory free gift sets left so picked up a couple of items to get it and will do a hamper with it. The mini ones in the gift set were selling seperately for £2.25 each so the gift set is great!! I treated myself to a No 7 facial wash and added £2.50 to the voucher. I had a double points voucher so used that on the Soap and Glory stuff!!!0 -
double points voucher?? here she goes talking in her bootsy language again! ... I really need to get over to that thread!!!
Angie I made up my hamper, the pic is on the last pageThankyou for your help again x

everyone who posted or described hamper they are all greatI don't know where to start
Maria, I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it (and hope I'm not pushing the Boots thing too much) but if you've managed to get a £5 off voucher, you can get cosmetic sponges for free if No7 (I think??) and £1 for 3 x Ruby and Millie - should be £6.00

Hi Shaz:hello:
They're too far north for me too - was in sunny scunny today - and it was for once
Was going to go to the poundshop but for the life of me couldn't figure out where it is. By the time I'd been to Wilkos, Home Bargains and TJ Hughes I couldn't carry anything else - was glad DD insisted on coming with me as she was a star carrying the baskets and trailing round after me :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Ok I have a small shoe box (from my baby girls second pair of shoes) However this is now being turned into a hamper, I need to wrap the box with paper still but I don't think it looks impressive when you open it. The box needs to be sent through the post as it is for my step mum and her and my dad live out in Bulgaria so weight and size was a big issue ...
Here is a pic, can anyone give me any other suggestions to not look like it is just shoved in a box(please bear in mind I have to wrap the box still lol)
Edit: I should add there is 5 x soap and glory items, and 3 x lush items.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

I saw your hamper Rusty, looks great. The S & G prducts have lovely colour containers don't they!!! The double points voucher was from having the advantage card, it came in my points letter - can use it 2 times. Also had a few other ones where I had to spend £50 and £20. If I had more time this morning I would have picked up £20 worth of stuff and used that voucher but no time!!!!0
