God I live you guys!

This has got to be one of my favourite threads! I've read about the first 50 pages and the last 50! My eyes went funny in between!

Massive amount of inspiration here! I've decided to do hampers for everyone this year! I picked up 4 of the 1.99 hampers from Wilkos and I've seen little lined bread baskets in the 99p shop which I'll get 3 of tomorrow. My plan is:

Mum - wants a Radley Umbrella so that and some bits from the BF in a little 99p hamper.

Dad - loves his food and Mum won't let him eat it so I'm going to do a choco themed hamper with maybe some socks etc in a 99p hamper

Step Mum and Dad In Law - Food and drink hamper (between me and BF) in a 1.99 hamper.

Step Dad and Mum in Law - His and Hers Pamper set with smellies mainly I think in a 1.99 hamper

BIL - (24yrs) Cocktail kit. Steel shaker, stirrers, Martini glass (need to source that cheap!) Mini Vodka, nuts all in a 1.99 hamper.

BIL & SIL - Food hamper in a 1.99 hamper.

Grand MIL&FIL - I usually just get them a pack of nice biscs but I thought I'd do em a wee cheap hamper. I figure biscuits can be split between the food hampers by using cellophane etc. - 99p hamper.

That only leaves BF and Nephew IL who get just a gift. I dont think they'd appreciate the hamper!

I'm very excited already! Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

    :T to you all!

Oh... one more thing. Has anyone ever wrapped a hamper with brown paper (the sort you wrap parcels with)? I did my presents in it last year with gingham ribbons wrapped round and it looked really effective. I'm trying to work out if I could do that with the hampers as I give the presents to the In Laws a week before Christmas as I go back home. I figure I could sort of concertina (sp?) it and tie it at the top with some ribbon?

Do you think it looks too bare? I am in the process of making up a sweet boquet for her aswell so she is getting something else ... or do you think it needs more in it?

Is a thread re a free goody bag for kids. Says worth 30 pounds and just need pay postage and packing which is 3.98. I have just ordered one. Thought it might be good for little goodies to pad out hampers. Here is link to original thread that was posted.
