Right, two girly pink and purple set, totaly cost, £13.00 (in pink Video boxes from poundstretcher)
Those video boxes are ideal aren't they? Fab idea :T
They'd be good for movie boxes too
I saw some baskets in Mataln today with cars on. Big & fairly costly at £5 but really nice for a boy. Good for your own child that they can use again?
They had lots of various patterns. Really nice to use again afterwards.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

:jHi tiamai - your baskets all look really great particularly like the look of the girly ones. Can you tell me what exactly the Bratz stuff is that is in them - I can see the Bratz logo but not what it's attached to...... my little girl is Bratz mad and she'd love something like that and I can think of a few others amongst our friends and families littlies that would like them.:T
TIA:beer:"all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
HopeElizzy, the bratz stuff is a Bratz passion for fashion desk tidy set from poundstretcher at £3.00 and a secrets book and gel pen, from poundstretcher at £2.50. there is also an impulse London body spray (colour goes really well) 2 for £2, asda, socks from primark, £1.00, an angel pendant from the life center Newcastle (went on holiday) £3.00, and one has a hairband from a claires £3 mixed bag the other has a stamp set, 50p reduced in boots.
I figured the video boxes would be nicer in their bedrooms, lid is on the bottom. They can store anything in them. Plus a bit more funky for young girls.0 -
I can't wait to start my hampers this year!!
I've got soooooooooo much stuff from the Boots clearance sale over the past few weeks, that I think i'm gonna have more hampers than people to give them too!
I must have about two black sacks FULL of designer toiletries and make-up for less that £40!!! (DH has been groaning every time I walk through the door with another load of Boots bags - he won't be moaning when xmas come along and we don't have to buy any pressies!!).
I love Boots!What the Deuce?0 -
I've started getting my bits together now, yesterday I got two lovely wicker baskets from tesco for £1.99 so just under £1 each.
I have got 3 DVD's from play.com for a tenner (gonna put one in each and then keep one for me!) and from pigsback I have got some blockbuster free rental vouchers and a mug using my points so got them for free.
I joined another rewards site two days ago and already have got two dairy milk bars and two bags of maltesers to go in them. At this rate most of it will be freebies! Hehe.0 -
I am going to do a couple of movie baskets, one for my sister and bf and one for brother and gf - My sisters one will have a dvd, 2 mugs (ordered from truprint - thanks whoever had that idea) with choc drink etc. but my brother is more of a wine drinker, I was thinking of putting in his a bottle of wine and a couple of wine glasses, does anyone have any ideas regarding the wine glasses as a way of making them personalised (cheaply) or any other ideas...he is a red wine drinker (rioja) will have to keep my eye out for a good bottle not to expensive (and then hide it so I don't break it open lol)
Thanks for all your inspiring basket ideas....Jun GC £250.00/£12.40 NSD 3 / 30

A good bottle of Rioja on the cheap can be done... but if you want a REALLY special one then think about a Faustino V(£7.96 Tesco) or VII(£5.97 Tesco) (I have some I's but they are about £15+ a bottle, prob more as you can't buy that vintage anymore... hehe). They are fantastic wines and not too bad if you buy the V or VII. You could put in a basket with large glasses personalised with glass paints? A nice Rioja also goes well with cheese which I guess you could buy last minute and add? A good strong cheddar is my fave
As an alternative try the Rioja in the Tesco wine festival - half price down to £4.99 from £9.99: Castillo De San Lorenzo Rioja Reserva 75clDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey0 -
