This has motivated me to do one for my lovely, elderly neighbours (who are like grandparents to my children). Decided to do a bird themed one as they like feeding the birds in their garden. I got:
Lined basket £4 (was lovely and worth the extra price)
Bird Calender £2.99
Roosting pouch £1
Wooden bird feeder £2.99
Peanuts £1
Bell shaped bird seed thingy £1
Packet of fat balls £1
Magnet pad with picture of birds on front 50p
So a total of £14.50. It looks lovely wrapped in cellophane and tied with some burgundy organza that I had which matches part of the pattern in the basket.0 -

Sorry if not the right place, but found this place for ribbon, wrap, cello baskets etc. Anyone dealt with them? Shipping is a bit steep at over £8.00, but baskets at 41p?

Hi everyone, I have used this site beofre but it was only yesterday while looking for solutions to "my smelly washing machine" that I was sent to these forums. I sat all evening looking through them and kept coming back to this thread inparticular. I was so inspired by it that today I have gone out and bought items to complete a gardening hamper for my dad and a pink pamper hamper for my sister. i have half finished a blue pamper hamper for my step-mum as well. All cost approx £10 each, I am chuffed with results. Just need to get some cellophane to complete them now. So thanks everyone for the ideas.:T I am gathering thoughts for the rest of the family now.£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

Hello Poppett & welcome to the MSE chat forum
You do realise that now you're here you'll soon become addicted. The site is FULL to the brim of fantastic money saving ideas though so its not all bad.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -

Best thing? I got £15.00 of argos vouchers for complaining about a damaged wardrobe (which I fixed anyway), so the baskets are from argos, 3 for £14.99 and buy one get one free, so although I added the cost of £2.50 per basket to the totals, they cost me nothing! Woohoo!0 -

Well done
