I have reserved a set of those boxes at my local Argos - Thanks for that:T I would love to see any pics of one of these completed - this is my first year of doing hampers and am not particularly crafty
Also, I need to get some sort of glass paint to put my brother and his girfriends names on wine glasses..does anyone have any tips on doing this - like what sort to get etc (to make it as easy but nice as possible)Jun GC £250.00/£12.40 NSD 3 / 30

I did this last year and i found the best thing to use is glass paint outliner its like using an icing pen for fine detail. i found it in my local craft shop was around £2 came in gold silver bronze purple red and white i think possibly more colours. made it so much easier to write with than the liquid paint. it comes out just like icing and sets hard and raised. you can also use it to outline like bubble writing and then paint inside with with the liquid glass paints.
hope that makes sense.

I got those boxes today from Argos and they are fab!! Just exactly what I wanted.
I have been having fun filling them with the various fillings i've been getting from the Boots clearance sale. I've filled all five of them and still have loads of stuff left, lol!

I'm going to do baskets this year, but rather than using cosmetics and toilettries I'm doing a food one. Going to get a nice wicker basket (if anyone knows where from that'd be great!!) and fill it with some home made jam or lemon curd, mincemeat, mince pies, home made pasta, home made biscuits, maybe some soup, home made truffles, and a bottle of port/wine. I estimate that exlcuding the wine and basket the whole baskets will only cost me about £3 but will have a retail value of £15-20 - plus the added bonus that time and effort has gone into it.
My MIL will love it and my aunty and I might drop a couple of them round at the old folks home too since they're so cheap cos I'll make the stuff in bulk. Does anyone know where I can obtain lots of empty jam jars????0
