There was a Merc S class in one of our local places in Dec had everything including airconditiond rear seats.
IIRC a S600 52 plate 40k for <£11k
Small boot put me off.
My dad got a Jag LWB XJ something job(much lower price range) not good.
Skoda superb gets good reviews and are well equiped.0 -

Hmmm, how about an 04 supercharged 4.4 Range Rover Vogue?
Certainly luxury at £60K+ when new, even big and wafty (though not asked for). 3 gallons a week on 17mpg combined but get a good warranty as it will stretch the pension for repairs if anything breaks!0 -

the supercharged V8 might be a harsher ride though.
the 2.7 v6 has more than enough power to move these heavy lumps but still feels comfy....work permit granted!0
