I went 2 weeks ago to Minehead and there were fleas in the chalet. Had a change of chalet when I told them but no apology at all. With 2 toddlers in tow having to repack and unpack again was not fun.0

I'm probably gonna get lynched for this but we took alcohol in with us, we got the soft drink refillable containers from SkyLine which they refill with soft drinks for a couple quid, and could fit a whole big bottle of Smirnoff Ice or similar in and walked in drinking from them and nobody said a thing.
You and me will probably get lynched together as i must admit me and OH take drinks and sweets into the clubs for the kids as my kids don't like any of the drinks available they wouldn't drink fruit juice and i don't let them have fizzy drinks and when we did ask for squash it was made with that much concentrate it made your teeth melt. We also take in a small coke bottle with vodka in and then we just buy cokes. We don't always take our drinks in and we do buy other drinks and snacks as well and you know what kids are like they always want something other than what you have. We also made sarnies in the morning and sat in the skyline most of the day rather than buying sandwiches or chips etc., I am already looking forward to next years holiday, the kids had a great time this year and we also had a great time it was relaxing which i never would have thought possible. We had the half board option before but we preferred self catering as we where not clock watching all the time.#Sealed pot #085.

We were in minehead over Xmas and booked for next Xmas. The on site holiday shop quoted 7 days in a silver apartment self catering for 2 kids and 2 adults for £488. We booked and upgraded to a bungalow for an extra £50. Bargain. Just wish they had decent real ale on. Look forward to jumping the waves on Christmas day whilst the Nora look alike cooks lunch.0
