I have noticed that prices on the Butlins website have gone up by about 50% since jan - keep checking to make sure i booked at the right time - lol

I keep doing this to check the best price guarantee!!

Going to Skegvegas 21st March £150 for 4 of us in silver SC - we go every year as it is the only place open early enough to fit in with holiday needs.

Have been going to Butlins since I was tiny and have seen it change over the years - still have issues and complaints but still return - lol!:rotfl:
No buying toiletries challenge - possibly for most of 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015!
    £1 in sealed pot for each UU (2011 135/500:D) 2012 have UU 130/400 (never realised I had a mini chemist under my bed!!!) :rotfl:2013 UU 156/350. 2014 UU 197/250 2015 UU 16/100

Nursing is a work of heart by angels in comfortable shoes!!! :)

Thomson Cruises have bingo, with some lovely prize money at the end of the week! Also I went on a Royal Carribean Cruise when I was a teen and they had bingo, I won $700!

Seems bingo is for everyone now!

I too love Butlins we and my o/h are off to Bognor in May {went to Minehead 3 times last year} We are staying in the Spa hotel and have a massage session booked, this is for the adults only weekend, its cost us just under £700 for the Fri-Mon I don't "do" public transport so this suits us just fine, we are also going to Cornwall to the Eden project later in the year
Anyone can cuddle but only the Welsh can cwtch :)

I've done Butlins a few times but only ever as a cheap break, it just shows the difference in price to go in the summer holidays.

We are going to Majorca in June for the same price, 2 adults, 1 child, all inclusive for a week, ok it's not in the school holidays but a week out of school a month before they break up isn't the end of the world.
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

It depends on the educational Authority, some are more leniant than others, where I used to live they fined you if you took your kids out of school in term time, where I live now they unofficially allow 2 weeks.
We often get letters from the head stating not to take them out at the start or end of a term, i have done in the past when they were younger but I wouldn't now.
I agree June is a good time and Majorca in June is lovely, have a great time xx

If you can get time off from school yes you can get some great bargains. Butlins is about 40% cheaper then too and it's less busy too. For people with little kids who arent at school yet it's the best time to go. You used to be able to get last minute room only half board deals for silly money too but they've changed that and sell the rooms without the half board part now.

and also when you have kids doing gcse's there is no way the school allows us to take out of school time , we have to go in sch hols only , and its a fortune to go abroad especially with 7 of us , Butlins is a great holiday it is what you make of it , and we always have a fab time come rain or shine
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

Somebody asked for an example of a holiday under £1000. Im not actually going to go there. I am also going to Butlins & the Oralndo in Nov like I do every year. I will probably also upgrade to silver when I get there but there is no way I am paying the upgrade prices now as you can usually get a better deal when you get there and speak to them in person!! :A

What is the weather like there in November? We went a couple of years ago in June and are hoping to go back next year but I would love to be there for the christmas stuff at disney.
I don't mind if its not hot but don't really want hat and mittens weather either just a nice happy medium?

Sorry to hijack your thread op:o
    Nothing to report:p

Yes of course, taking them out for a holiday during important years I wouldn't do, I usually go away towards the end of September, they've already settled in their new class and don't have anything particularly important then.

I've done Butlins loads of times and agree it's what you make of it.

In fact, any holidays I book I do it as cheaply as possible!
