LOL, thanks. I don;t really drink anymore tbh, just ging for a weekend away from the kids after summer holidays!! Glad to know it's not just teens. We are going to the 90's weekend (I would prefer 60's though) and they have S Club Party - used to be S Club 7 but now there is only 3 of them. :rotfl: Should be a laugh though.
I rarely drink, last time was in August, hence why I spent the whole weekend hungover - canny handle my ale! :o

What is the weather like there in November? We went a couple of years ago in June and are hoping to go back next year but I would love to be there for the christmas stuff at disney.
I don't mind if its not hot but don't really want hat and mittens weather either just a nice happy medium?

Sorry to hijack your thread op:o

We went a few years ago at the same time (last week of Nov first week of Dec) and the weather was lovely. Warm in the day & a bit cooler at night. Some days were really quite hot still!! It was great because from the first week of Dec they start all the christmas celebrations in the parks so at Disney there was fake snow and all the characters in christmas out fits, it was really magical xxx:j

Can you tell me some more about Big Weekends pleeeeease. Usually it has stuff for kids during the day in the Skyline - do they have adult stuff instead? Is it loads of drunk teens or is there is a mixture of people that go. I'd love to know more. :D

i go every year , done soul/70s/80s and 2 more soul /motown , it is a great time , like someone else said from 18 -60s , some drink al day evryday , some dont , it is a laugh lots of group bookings , fancy dress every night too,

theres usually sports going on during the day , not much in the skyline , sometimes have visitors i.e when we went there was del boy and uncle albert lookalikes with there robin reliant, and then another year , doliran from back to the future , just there for you to take pics,

sunday lunch times they usually have something going on in REDS , but evening entertainment in either REDS or CENTRE STAGE,

The pool , and funfair is open during the day weather permitting for the fair Free except go karts .

wifi all over the resort, theres also a cinema (charge)

Best of all NO KIDS !!!!!

    HTH

We go 11th March soul weekend (7days away ), but we are taking the kids at easter too
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

Ah I see, we are not veggie and the meat we had was really nice (sorry). Was not sure at first because there were some bad reviews but the food was lovely. We went because we did not need reservations and it was just handy after the parks.

    Hi

    thanks for that

last year i saw at Butlins a massive advert on the wall stating " Stay at disney " , it made me laugh

i will check out the timeshare you mentioned

I am on Dibbs a fair bit ;)

I like Butlins....but then am a bit biased....my DD used to used to be a Redcoat team leader before she got married :D

We had a great break at Bogner (where she worked) took DSD and her friend, hardly saw them the whole week! food was good, I didn't have to cook :D:D
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

    Stopped smoking 20:30 28/09/11 :D

I have just come back and I paid £300 for 5 days standard accommodation self catering for 5 people.we had some 1 join us on the next day and did not pay for them naughty I know Butlins can be a great hol.this time we never got a seat for the shows even though we stood in a line and waited for an hour this is the only thing I can complain about

I would be very wary about doing this again. If you'd been caught, the whole party would have been evicted from the park!!

    Slightly OT,

me and the wife are planning one of the weekends next year, but what we have been doing since our eldest was born (now 5) is going to skegness for a long weekend, closest to haloween/bonfire. have a big fireworks display (when it's not tipping it down) The entertainment is really good IMO (chico / eioghn quinn / whoever lost x factor, and a REALLY good comedy circus / magic / music show) the queus are long but I normally stand in line while wife gets the girls ready.

we book at a caravan site next to the park, get the passes and normally pay £200 for the three night, OK we pay extra for food but still a good value holiday IMO

Can't do that this year so are going for 4 nights from 19th DEC to minehead, on site. breakfast and dinner, all entertainment £220... that cannot be sniffed at, it's our present to each other and perfect to get away for a few days a destress prior to xmas!
