Evening all, hi to all the new people, and well done to the losers, some good losses again.
I can report a 3lb loss this week, was happy but expecting a bit more as I have been so good this week. But I am pleasedI got SOTW and am the lightest I have been since being a teenager.:j:j
On a downer (there is always something with me) I attend classes with my mum and sister, and although this is good for the support, we never have a good week together, we seem to take it turns at having a really crappy week. Last week it was me with my STS, this week it was my sister, who got so emotional she broke down in class.
Please don't get me wrong - I do care- but she was so down that she just blanked my success and got really defensive. It's so hard, because I left class feeling really drained where I should have been so chuffed. I didn't behave like it last week when she lost, I congratulated her but deep down was frustrated it wasn't me losing but kept it to myself.
Sorry to go on, but if anyone attends group with a family member you may know where I'm coming from.
I'm geared up for this week and have a SW quiche in the oven as I type. Hope everyone enjoys their evening and good luck to those weighing in tomorrow x
I know what you mean. I attend with a friend who is great with the food side but really likes a drink (I mean REALLY LIKES a drink!) and so then wonders why she doesn't get the results she would like. If she has a loss I am genuinely pleased for her but when I do and she's had a bad result then it's not quite the same reaction. I think it happens quite a bit.
You did fantastic so be proud. xx0 -

So I'm going to make a nice soup today. I was wondering if people could suggest good ideas for soups, and maybe we can keep the list in one place together (the recipe thread?). I just thought a list of soup recipe ideas would be helpful to lots of people.
I'll start:
Carrot & corriander
Carrot & cumin
Carrot & orange
Carrot & lentil (the subject of carrot soup came up on another forum yesterday!)
Neeps & tatties (carrot, swede/turnip & potato)
Minestrone
Tomato (both fake heinz and "proper" tomato versions since they taste completely different)
The Famous Dyno Rod Soup
Pea & ham
Chicken & noodle (on EE or done the green way with quorn)
Creamed sweetcorn & chilli
lentil
Spicy Parsnip
Broccoli & stilton
French Onion
Butternut squash
Sweet potato
Butternut squash & sweet potato together
Leek & potato
Spicy bean
Thai (like thai curry but more watery!)
I think that's about all my ideas at the moment.
OI YOU LOT, SUGGEST SOME SOUP IDEAS YOU BIG MEANIES!!!:p:p
Woah did I have a delayed reaction to the anaesthetic. I dreamt, woke up and lasted half of the day today thinking that my glasses were broken and I had to be really careful with them, and when I was perusing the cuboards looking for food I could "see" the fish in the anchovy fillets jar which were actually real life fish and swimming around - best bit was I was wondering for ages how you got one out, because they had big teeth and were prepared to bite! :rotfl: It only occured to me later to wonder how they were still alive when they were sealed in a jar, and about 10 minutes to work out it must have been a hallucination! :rotfl: I was going to make a tomato sauce with them, but I'm rather put off now
I have huuuuge massive munchies, but am trying my hardest to make today my first day back on plan. Annoyed, because I thought I'd be allowed to drive today and rang up to check, but oh nooooo, I've got as long as my wound on my leg takes to heal, which I reckon will be when I have my stitches out, so another 10 days to go. Internet shopping, here I come!Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

Geeves, the DynoRod soup is definitely free on the Green and EE plan so eat your fill. Do be aware though that is has not been nicknamed "DynoRod" soup lightly (this is where the weight losss comes in - dashing back and forth to the loo) :rotfl::rotfl:
Have just spent a few days in London with DD, going to the Ideal Homes Exhibition. It has been fab, the weather was lovely and I couldn't have enjoyed it more. Walked miles and miles, which should have helped burn off the tasty bits we were noshing at so many of the stands
Splashed out on a Vita Mix machine and I'm hoping to be a whizz in the kitchen with it - has anyone got one to give me some inspiration? The demonstrator person was brilliant and made it all look so easy.........we shall see :cool:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
