Evening all, hi to all the new people, and well done to the losers, some good losses again.
I can report a 3lb loss this week, was happy but expecting a bit more as I have been so good this week. But I am pleasedI got SOTW and am the lightest I have been since being a teenager.:j:j
On a downer (there is always something with me) I attend classes with my mum and sister, and although this is good for the support, we never have a good week together, we seem to take it turns at having a really crappy week. Last week it was me with my STS, this week it was my sister, who got so emotional she broke down in class.
Please don't get me wrong - I do care- but she was so down that she just blanked my success and got really defensive. It's so hard, because I left class feeling really drained where I should have been so chuffed. I didn't behave like it last week when she lost, I congratulated her but deep down was frustrated it wasn't me losing but kept it to myself.
Sorry to go on, but if anyone attends group with a family member you may know where I'm coming from.
I'm geared up for this week and have a SW quiche in the oven as I type. Hope everyone enjoys their evening and good luck to those weighing in tomorrow xCurrently takling Barclaycard - £67/£350Debt free date October 2014:jDoing it for my girlies!!:j38lbs lost in 2011SW for May 8lb/7lb0 -

Now girls (and this probably is NOT a tip for the chaps) I've had this idea. It cost me £4.99 so it'd better work. I was in White Stuff today checking out their summer clothes (dull colours) and noticed a sample pot of lip gloss, flavour Creme Brulee. I smeared a bit on my lips and it tastes of CARAMEL! I was so excited I bought it. That's when I found out it was £4.99. My theory is that if I get a yearning for something really sweet, for instance a cadbury caramel egg say for arguments sake, I can just smear on a bit of Creme Brulee Lip Balm and keep the urges at bay

Have lost 1.5lb this week pleased with that as March has been very slow in terms of weight loss - but no gains on the positive side!
Only been going every other week for WI which might have something to do with it.
Free this week too as I had my club 10 free voucher to use - caused the computer to stress that did as I had missed last week as a shift worker and had the voucher for this week and was not at my original club - luckily no queue!
Went back to village meeting tonight as the consultant is leaving - the one who I started going to his meetings in September so wanted to go to say bye and good luck with his new group. I'm looking to transfer to the club by work which is run by the area manager and will soon be meetings 4pm/5.30pm/7.30pm so lots of choice.
Found it interesting tonight when as a group we spoke about people who leave to carry on without WI or club or SW and lots had tried this and piled it all back on - one of the new ladies is an ex SW consultant and has put her weight back on since leaving so is back.
Made me decide to stay with going to WI, decided to look at it like my mini half stone targets I set - will set myself targets to keep going and then review and bet I keep going. Next one being go until Easter then Whitsun. Have given my Mum strict instructions to tell me if she thinks I'm eating too much of the wrong foods or putting weight on, dont think I will but can't ever put it back on.
I had thought of getting weighed weekly at the fitness studio but not sure that will be the same as SW.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

well done Alison. I do agree about continuing to attend, it's like a life sentence in a way but we were talking about this at our group (I said it's like Alcoholics Anonymous but there was a stony silence) and we mostly agreed that we enjoyed going now, it's like a little club with a nucleus of regulars and others who come and go (and come back
) I know I wouldn't stay on the straight and narrow without the discipline of being weighed each week, and I have such admiration for Mrs M who has done it entirely on her own with such success.

WI tonight and -1 :j That's 11.5lbs in 4 weeks and a miracle this week after the beer, drunken pizza and kebab this week:o!!!
Am now feeling really pleased with myself and firmly back on track!
I've accepted I'm not going to lose 3 stone before my makeover on monday but after a rummage in the wardrobe have found my scary underwear:eek: that holds everything in so makes my posh dress look fab:D!! I'm going to try and avoid any bloaty sort of foods between now and monday so I can hopefully get some good photos!!
Bed for me now (trying to avoid the eye bags too!!) Night all!

Well done Miss P, like someone else said, I know the awards are just bits of foil but I still used to be really chuffed when I got one!
Well done to everyone else who had nice losses.
Beasygirl, I know what you mean. I never went with a family member, but with a very close friend who was never happy for me when I lost if she didn't. Truth is she wasn't trying at all and got quite resentful that I got really into it and got 2 1/2 stone off and got to target. She had stopped going long before that but mid way started to try and get me to eat bad stuff with her, saying I was losing too much weight. Itr was quite hard work!
Anyway for me, I sts again! No great surprise as it just doesn't seem to be shifting at all and I am being super good, no treats at all have passed these lips.
I'm eating plenty, do not feel hungry at all and having all my HE. I'm not always using my syns every day, sometimes only 5 or 6, others I use the whole 15 but have not gone over.
Been going down the gym still, even clocked up 7k on the treadmill on Sunday, got upto 1 1/2 mins running each time, did the whole lot in an hour, 600 cals burned but still nothing  Body fat monitor measured me as 32% fat  was a bit more than I was expecting and I now do not like that machine!
But nevermind, shall keep ploghing away0 -
:T on your shiny, new sticker MissP, and congratulations to everyone else who's had a good week.
Beasygirl, I know lots of people prefer to join SW with a friend/family member but I can see the problem if there's too much of an emotional attachment. I suppose it can work but it's not helping you if your sister is not sharing your pleasure. Surely that's a part of what the group's about, hence all the applause (:p). I think you're doing the right thing by being pleased for her on her good weeks and ploughing ahead doing your own thing. She'll either join you or drop out, her choice.
Meanwhile, we're all pleased for you on here:T
I've had quite a good day but did need a couple of syns for gravy. I've been making onion gravy with just balsamic and stock lately and it's yum. Unfortunately I realised I'd run out of stock cubes so had to use gravy granules. I made it really thin so probably just one syn each.
I'm out for a meal tomorrow evening but it's one of those nouvelle cuisine type places that does really small portions and I've made the wisest available choices (had to give order in advance). DH doesn't know this yet but I'm going to volunteer to drive to stop me adding wine syns.0
