Hello everyone, I've got a tub of Asda GFY fromage frais in the fridge which I opened on monday. It's got a use by date but no info for how long it keeps once opened. I want to make au poivre sauce tonight, should it be ok? I can't taste it or smell it as I've got a cold:( Thanks:)

I keep mine for 7 days, then throw it away, even though on the 8th day it still tastes ok, I just feel after a week its time to chuck away :D

    Good morning all

Just a quickie as am off out soon - going to the hobbycraft show at the NEC!:j

    Menu for today:

    Breakfast: 2 egg omelette
Lunch: Lemon, mint and coriander couscous (from recipe in this months SW mag). Looks lovely - hope it tastes good too!
    Dinner: Toby carvery (yum!!!!)
Snacks: 2 x alpen lights (HEXB), Banana
Drinks: Few coffees (HEXA) and lots of water
    Exercise: lots of walking round!

I use my HEXA every day as milk in coffees....but some days I only have about 3 coffees. Was thinking on those days of maybe allowing myself a half HEXA portion of cheese. Does anyone else do this??

    Miss P
    xx

I have thought a few times about going to our local toby carvery, but have been worried about the veg being mixed or covered with butter, and also how the gravy is made! I couldn't eat a roast without some gravy on it, do you know if its SW friendly? and do you know if the veg, or boiled potatoes have butter on it?

    Morning(just),

Had a coffee first thing, really tired today!

Had breakfast not so long ago, tea, alpen light(1/2B), clementine, yoghurt, banana

Dinner will be WM roll(B), quorn burger, ketchup(1), wedges and beans.

Lunch will be..... no idea! Probably a mish mash of stuff. Have a punnet of strawberries to eat, and a melon... and some falafel. and some crudites. We'll see:)

Have a lovely day ladies and gents.

our (last) consultant booked for us all to go to the toby carvery for our xmas do last year, she said everything was free except the yorkies (some places do small ones some do large ones) and you will have to syn for gravy as you would normally ;)

But when we go I normally guesstimate 3 for the yorkie and 2 for my gravy and have a mahoosive plate of lovely food for that :T

Dizzy - enjoy your meal out tonight especially the pudding - you have to have flexi days to keep you on plan long term and with all those superspeed foods you should be fine.

Susiebear - nothing wrong with Toby Carvery as dizzy has said just syn your yorkie pudd and gravy.

Our consultant has said many times that when eating out but wanting to stay on plan just study the menu and try to make wise choices but don't order something you are not going to enjoy just because it's a good choice. Also remember there are 21 meals in a week and one meal off plan shouldn't cause damage provided you eat plenty of superspeed foods.

Oh thats fab news about toby carvery, wished I had asked about it earlier, I just assumed they would use all sorts of fattening goodies mixed in the veg etc.
So is the stuffing syn free? As I know stuffing from the shops you have to syn, and what about the roasties, I thought these would have to be synned???

    Thanks xx
