It is another beautiful day here in sunny Edinburgh:) Feel much more motivated when its nice.

Just had a coffee, not particularly hungry right now.

Using 1/2 an A for my coffee and a tea later.

When i'm hungry i'll have a banana and a yoghurt.
Lunch will be HM soup and a WM roll.

Dinner - going to try the SW chow mein.

Got a melon that really needs eaten and some strawberries for my treat tonight with the obligatory meringue:D

    Have a lovely day everyone:A

    Hi everyone, can i join.

Ive been doing sw since march 2010. Lost 3 1/2 stone so far and got 9 1/2 lb to target. I was doing really well til Decmeber but them I had a holiday and then came straight back to all the xmas celebrations. Lost a few more pounds in january but them STS for couple of weeks so ive had to up my game and really make sure i have my superfree as this seems to really influence if i have a loss or not. Lost 1 1/2 on Monday and a pound the week before which is a really go amount for me.

Has anyone else found that when there getting reaer to there target it slows down, my consultant said it pretty common and i just need to fine tune everything, which to be honest does make sense, so i made the infamous dyno rod soup yesterday and it is very lovely, hugely impressed.

Mine has too. I've lost nearly 4 1/2 stone and have 1 1/2 left to go, but I know my problem has been complacency. Losing weight is easy, but still needs concentration and willpower and I let that slide a little.
Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

So I'm going to make a nice soup today. I was wondering if people could suggest good ideas for soups, and maybe we can keep the list in one place together (the recipe thread?). I just thought a list of soup recipe ideas would be helpful to lots of people.

    I'll start:

    Carrot & corriander
    Carrot & cumin
    Carrot & orange
Carrot & lentil (the subject of carrot soup came up on another forum yesterday!)
    Neeps & tatties (carrot, swede/turnip & potato)
    Minestrone
Tomato (both fake heinz and "proper" tomato versions since they taste completely different)
    The Famous Dyno Rod Soup
    Pea & ham
Chicken & noodle (on EE or done the green way with quorn)
    Creamed sweetcorn & chilli
    lentil
    Spicy Parsnip
    Broccoli & stilton
    French Onion
    Butternut squash
    Sweet potato
Butternut squash & sweet potato together :p
    Leek & potato
    Spicy bean
Thai (like thai curry but more watery!)

I think that's about all my ideas at the moment.

    *boom* day 9 shredded

    Good morning all :D

Well done on the losses everyone :T
Skintslimmer -glad your OP went ok :j

So then I WILL be having a red day today -which WILL look something like this:-
    250ml semi (A)
    pineapple
    yellow plums

    roast chicken -wants using up
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomato
    pepper
    tickled onions
    tickled cabbage
    frozen cherries
    frozen raspberries
    activia (2.5)
    BIG hm tortilla (8)
    mustard mayo chicken (1)
    salad
    *as above*
    2 yellow plums
    pineapple
    fibre plus (B)
    250ml semi (A)
Now I make that 2A+1B and 11.5 syns -so I really need to use another B -not sure how or if I will manage it -but I will try

So then, as I have done my shred and have the stuff I made yesterday to cover extra lunches I may well dedicate my day today to sorting out and typing up more recipes into my PC

have a lovely day everyone and keep up the great work

  • Morning All,

Well weighed in yesterday and for week 1 I lost 1lb (rather pleased with this as I didn’t have the best first week but there you it’s a lose).
Will do better than this, this week….
Went to the gym last night and again this morning did 30mins last night and 1hr this morning, hoping to go again in the morning see how I feel…..
My plan with exercise is to go 5 times mon- fri, and rest the weekend – this is more to do with I never go than actual rest but there you go – gonna go in a speak to them about what to do to get the best out of my time… grrrr.

So meals for today: EE day for me today

    Breakie Banana and a Mullerlight
Snack Pasta with pesto light 1.5syns
Lunch Mackerel with salad a a few new potatoes- might need to use a few syns here…….
    Snack Carrotts/possible a mullerlight
Dinner: Chicken few more new spuds and veg
Diet coke and energy drink and water for drinks
Skimmed Milk HE and Possible a wholemeal pitta for the other HE

Will update syns once I’ve worked them out..

    Hope your all doing well

    Red

Syns to be added are Mayo Light 2.5 syns.

Am using fry light for cooking and my diet drinks are all free (wanted to check the energy as although it was diet I didn't trust it)

So I've only used 4 syns so far..........

I shall either find something - (or i can pretend I was making up for last week ;)
    OD 0.00/300 Car 200/7000 CC 0.00/82
    Emergency Fund 0.00/5000

Popped in for the WI last night and lost 1.5 lbs - quite happy with that I suppose;) I had a few extra syns last week that weren't really needed so it could have been more. Never mind - that's a total of 8lbs now over 4 weeks so I suppose its steady?

    Today's food ....

Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
    Mid Morning - banana
Lunch - leftover spaghetti and passata (free) and grapes
Tea - big jacket potato, beans and cheese (2x A choice)

    So far that's ..
    2 A choices
    1 B choice
No syns - I'm sure that will change!

I'm going to have to have a trawl through the internet later for diet friendly veggie dinners as I'm getting a bit bored of food and that's when I start to waver!
6 lbs to go to my 1 stone target - can't give in now!

Evening all am off plan today [not that I've been on it much :o] as its my Birthday and we're having papa johns pizza. Am sick of chocolate today as thats all people have got me at work and I just couldn't not have any without hurting feelings :o.

Am hoping that as food is still not hanging around for long IYKWIM [tmi:o] the damage won't be too bad but can afford a small gain either way. Probably talked it up now.

Also hubby got a new [new to us] car today, a Saab estate. Not had a Saab before so a new experience for us. We usually stick to Fords as the parts are easier to get cheap. Although saying that the other car in the garden is a Renualt :rotfl:.

Got some lovely silver [my fav] bracelets and necklace today so am jangling well :D.

Good luck with WI peeps, onwards and downwards :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Happy Birthday TakeitEazy and enjoy your day off!

I'm having a much better day so far, makes me feel much better than all the flexidays I've had:

    On EE

B: NAS squash, kippers and 1 WW toast (HE)
L: Ham and marmite sandwich, banana
D: smoked haddock, potatoes of some sort (haven't decided, probably mash), tomatoes, mushrooms and peas.
Snacks: tea/coffees with milk (HE), fruit as SFs looking a bit low

Maman, might be being completely dense here, but what does NAS mean in your breakfast each day?
