Good morning all
Well done on the losses again folks :j
day 8 "shredded" -Sarjsmith -trust me I would rather do Jillians Shred DVD every morning than have to eat shredded wheat -they are the devils food :rotfl:
I ordered some ankle weights and some weighted gloves to use with the DVDs -it will save me keep hitting myself on the head with the dumbells  I forget Im holding them and go to push my hair out of the way and "boink" :rotfl:
Well Im well down on my syn usage so far this week -I swear the more I try and use them the less I need . I didn't even eat my activia yesterday so just 2 syns used .....
Today I WILL use more as Im making wraps nomnom nommy nom
So Im planning a red day today that should look like this:-
250ml semi (A)
apple
activia (2.5)
orange
lemon n black pepper salmon
tickled cabbage
tickled beetroot
lettuce
cucumber
tomatoes
frozen cherries
frozen raspberries
BIG hm tortilla wrap (8 syns)
roast chicken
lettuce
cucumber
tomatoes
onions
peppers
hm mustard dressing (1)
pineapple
apple
250ml semi (A)
fibre plus (B)
SO I make that 2A+1B and 11.5 syns ,
We need to nip out this evening and pick up more water, cottage cheese and a few other bits so I will get the wrap dough made and rolled out so I can cook them fresh when we get back, everything else will be ready so its nice n quick....
Well I have been an ickle bit busy this morning, I now have :-
* 6 portions chicken n sweetcorn soup x 1syn on EE/G to go in the freezer (gawd knows where )
* 6 portions of feta frittata in the fridge X 0.5 heA on EE or 0.5 heA OR B on green
*tub of mustard mayo chicken to put in the tortillas later (1 syn each)
*tub of roast chicken -to use up
* chopped a whole pineapple up
*prepared the salad for later
So later I just need to make the dough for the tortillas and slice the bread I baked yesterday and try and find room in the freezer for it
I love it when I have used up loads of odds n sods and made something nimmy
Hope everyone is having a good day!!

Woot I have not found anything to "snack" that isnt HEB or synned aside from the usual fridgey stuff, yoghurts/ cottage cheese/ sliced meat chicken ham etc. Of course you could batch up some mini onion bhajis or pakora style in a tupperware to snack on?
My on the desk snack is usually a little packet of one of the WW snacks or the HEB alpen lites. Obv they are synned tho! Would love to hear any other suggestions that I havent heard of?
Couscous salad might be ok? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hello all,
Still popping by intermittently when I can find time.
Didn't manage to get to WI last night as I felt really grotty. Have gone down with a bad cold, it's * week and I'm feeling really awful with it, so the last thing I wanted to do was go out in the chilly air last night. I had felt OK during the afternoon after some painkillers, but by about 5.30 I was getting worse and worse, rang my consultant, but she'd already left for class, and doesn't have a mobile number. Left a message, and hope that will be OK? I've not had to call in sick before, and have never missed a WI since joining, so feel dreadfully guilty about it.
Still very snotty today, so drinking lots of fluids to help to flush this bug through my system. I also do not think my dinner last night agreed with me, so it's been a few trips to the loo today too. I suspect baked beans and my tummy have had a serious falling out, and my tummy appears to have won the battle! Shame really, because I really like baked beans, and ate them almost every day when I was a kid/teenager, so no idea why I've now got a problem with eating them. The same with peas, they were the one vegetable I'd eat as a kid, but now they really seem to upset my tummy. Funny how your body changes over time.
I'm trying to be back on plan this week, as I had Chinese over the w/end for my eldest son's birthday, and the salt in it (as well as the bad fat/sugar) seems to have bloated me, along with * week. I was anticipating a 2lb gain if I'd have gone last night, so would like to get that off by next week. I don't feel quite as bloated today as I did yesterday. I've been told before how salty food can cause water retention, and I have definitely felt it this week.
Food today: EE
B - banana, WW yogurt, nectarine
L - WW wholegrain bread slices x 3 (heb + 2.5 syns), ham & cucumber. Mayonnaise (2 syns)
D - chicken & tomato pasta bake, parmesan cheese (2 syns)
HeA - milk in teas
Not sure about the pasta bake ingredients yet, so am going allow for a few syns potentially in that with adding some LF cheese, or pesto.
Best wishes to all who are having tricky times at the mo, well done to all the losers, and stick with it anyone like me who's had a few weeks of struggling a bit with staying on track.
I have yet another son's birthday to organise for this w/end, which will involve yet another lot of cakes to make. I don't mind making them and having them shipped out of here, but making them, and having them hanging around for days afterwards is more tricky. At least there's no other birthday in this house until August after this w/end, so that helps. I'd really like to shift at least another 7lb before the end of April, so I have a target to be aiming for. I think I need to be going back to basics, so might look back at my first few week's food diaries to help me.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
Oohhh Nessie I had a nice time in Brighton last week too! D*mn that steak and rib place and all the chocolate shops:rotfl:Where did you go?? Sorry to hear you're poorly.. definitely get to the doctors.. they'll send you for an ultrasound to be sure.
We stayed in a hotel on Third Avenue, outdated but clean! It was about a 30min walk to the lanes and the pier! We walked around the pavillion aswell - amazing place!
It was the damn Ginger Pig that got me with some lovely game for starter and main and white chocolate cheesecake and chocolate sorbet for pudding! (i did wonder how they got cold chocolate to melt!:rotfl:) And the ginger biscuit in the shape of a pig when we had coffee!
Did you see the chocolate shop with the massive choco cakes & sheeps with marshmallows for their fleece?
I loved Brighton - going to take DH in September - after the holiday season! Would like to visit the marina but we didn't have time!
We were lucky to have nice weather! Its about 10deg colder at home!0 -

At the front of your book you have an orange page (superfree) - this is always free (and encouraged). You have a red page (meaty) - this is free on a red/original day. You have a green page (pastay) - this is free on a green day.
After the HEs you will see more green and red pages. When you're on a green day you can take the items on these green pages as HEBs; when you're on a red/original day you can take the items on these red pages as HEBs.
On these days you can have 1 or 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs per day, but you don't need to have the 1/3rd superfree. However you are still encouraged to eat the superfree.
Basically if you're on a green day you need to limit the meat, if you're on a red day you limit the pasta type stuff.

I've tried green days, as there are some days that I just don't get enough superfree in to get a real EE day. So when I have a curry I use the meat as a HEB and then don't have to worry about superfree. I used to just say I was having an EE day, but I really was cheating.0 -
It's yummy, and everyone seems to have their own version, tweaking as we go along! Enjoy!!;)
Just tried it, its lovely!
AND my 5 year old boy demanded a bit and scoffed the lot, mushrooms and all!!:T:T
Next time will add sliced peppers I think. LIke you say, its an easy thing to tweak and add different things to.**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0
