Hey guys! Stuck to plan all week, and had my WI on saturday. And i'm pleased to announce a 7lb loss! I was v. shocked!
I made a batch of Dyno-Rod soup tonight, and i'm not sure weather it looks right? I did tweak the ingredients, and halfed the things like carrots and leeks. Here are some pics.
after 30 mins cooking; looks nice, smells gurrrd
blitzed in mini blender; just looks like sick to me now?
left chunky; looks better but still?
Have I done it right, or is this not what it should look like??

well done autumnflower, 7lbs is amazing I bet you are over the moon
Cant comment on the dynorod soup, Ive not made any yet, but intend too, it looks yummy to me!!0 -
I'll be interested to know about the dyno-rod soup, never made it myself as I don't fancy baked beans in soup. I usually stick to my favourite lentil and veg made with the stock from cooking gammon. But I love tuscan bean soup, maybe I could adapt the dyno-rod??
I'm just hanging on, going flexi at the moment due to guests staying and having to be sociable by having wine with meals.:o
EE Day:
B: NAS, boiled eggs and toast, tea with HE milk
L: went to Sainsbury's between meetings and got packet of cooked chicken pieces and pot of fresh pineappleSW cottage pie, peas, carrots, broccoli and cauli followed by banana and FF yogurt (guests had trifle)
Snacks: Shiraz plus didn't have all my HEs, just a small amount of milk in teas and 1/3 slices of WW bread.
Guests should go home tomorrow (maybe Weds am) and then I can go back on plan with a vengeance!!0 -
Morning peeps
lovely sunny morning here again - makes me feel sooooo much better.
Well done to all the losers :j some fabby ones too!
:hello: to all the new posters.
I must admit that i`m struggling to keep up atm, if i have time to catch up then i don`t have time to post and vice versa, still sticking with the plan though so good news there
Yesterday was a green day and i must admit that i`m becoming addicted to the SW chicken chow mein recipe, i add a few extras to it like sliced peppers and i really can`t seem to help myselffirm fav on a green day and as an added bonus DH is as keen on this quick and easy recipe as i am.
Another plus is that DH told me yesterday that he really enjoys the huge mixed salads that i`ve been making so from now on we shall be having salad 3 days per week and just varying the extras ie salmon one day, tuna another etc
I have been very good too so i`m really pleased, i`ve watched DH succumb to various temptations but not one single cream egg has passed my lips - although if he carries on tormenting the way that he was yesterday he will be getting a well deserved slap - also my quavers seem to be vanishing rather quickly from my stash so DH is raiding them now that he knows where they are hidden.
Red day today :-
Brekkie - Bacon, boiled eggs and mushrooms
Dinner - Tuna on toast HEB 1&2
Tea - Swede topped cottage pie & peas
Snacks will be yogurt and quavers (5)
HEA will be milk in tea - although i think that i exceeded the amount yesterday so i shall switch to fruit tea earlier today.
Day off today and its also DH`s day off too so we have a nice early trip to Bakewell planned with the houndies for a walk in the park by the river and then some gardening in the (hopefully) sun this afternoon.
Have a fabby day peeps

Morning alll, not had time to catch up properly so well done to those that deserve it and hugs to those that need them!!! I've been pretty good apart from going over syns on Sunday but I expected to so have had less syns every other day. Yesterday's food was a green day:
Brekkie - yogurt, 2x ickle bananas, fibre plus bar (HEB)

Snack (as tea not till 9pm) - WM pitta (HEB), cheese (HEA), pickle (1), toms, cucumber

Today I'm going for EE:

Snack - banana
Lunch - same as yesterday
SNack - not sure but I'll need something as tea at 9pm again!
Tea - lamb cochifrito (which I've made a bit too spicy!), mash, cabbage, carrots, green beans
I wouldn't normally have 2 bananas in a day but they are teeny tiny ones!0 -
Good morning all!
Annaangeluk - congrats on winning the pamper day! Hope you and your Mum have a lovely time!:T
Autumn_flower - soup looks good to me in its "natural" state IYKWIM? I prefer chunky soups to blitzed ones so would probably leave it like that. Can see where its got its name from though....looking at it I think if I make it I may have to warn OH to keep clear for a while!!:rotfl:Well done on the 7lbs by the way - thats fantastic!!!!
Sunnyday - chicken chow mein is my favourite takeaway. Could you possibly post the recipe?
Extra Easy day I think for me.....
Breakfast: 2 egg omelette and beans
Lunch: Pasta, extra lean sausage (1 syn), chopped onion, baby tomato's and sage.
Dinner: Jacket Potato, FF cottage cheese with onion and chive, roast chicken and big plate of salad
Snacks: 2 alpen lights (HEXB), banana
Drinks: Coffee's (HEXA), lots of weak squash
Bought some Sainsburys BGTY Extra lean pork cumberland sausages yesterday....checked on-line and they're only half a syn each!!:j So OH is happy as I'll let him have sausages again now!!:rotfl:
Miss P
xx
**EDIT** just looked at that again....if I HEXB the chicken I can turn this into a green day and have real cheese on my potato!!! Shall have to see how the day progresses.....**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0 -

Hi Miss Piggy
the recipe is here http://www.droylsden.net/docs/143_Recipes.htm#_Chicken_Chow_Mein
I add sliced peppers and chinese 5 spice when cooking and if there are any suitable veggies in the fridge throw a few of those in too.
Its nothing like a takeaway chow mein i`m afraid but we love it as its very tasty and filling. In a naughty moment using sesame oil instead of fry light has been known
There are quite a few interesting recipes on there too.

Thankyou Sunnyday!:T I love noodles / stirfry and have been experimenting a bit the last few weeks. Shall look forward to this one.**Keep Calm and Carry On!**0

Morning all :
Sunnyday _ I love bakewell what a beautiful spot that is ( wistful fo it) thanks for those recipes. Personally that would all be free on EE, with a bit of extra veg in? Out of interest is it to have the extra As? that youd have this on a green day. I struggle with extra As...
Skint- I would take a few days off plan, but then that is just me lol
Gas was restored last night, but we had a chinese anyway ( 5 each)
So dog tired I fell asleep before i could eat my penguin wafer!! So yesterday came in at 7.5 syns. Super!
Today is EE I think:
Breakfast Fruit, I have mango still to use and strawbs etc. The pineapple was rock hard when I sawed into it yesterday eve tho all the leaves pulled out
Lunch: At home so maybe A mushroom omelette plus of course lots of fruit!
Dinner: Chicken ginger black fungus from above boiled rice, might do a mushroom foo yung on the side.
HEB- pagen crisprolls HEA skimmed milk in tea
Syns: Penguin wafer + 2 finger kit kat
Hope everyone has a good day:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hey all,
I am sloping back in with my tail between my legs, I always put weight back on having worked hard to lose it!!!!:o
Anyway I am back on the wagon, I am getting married in September and am going to do my best to lose 4 stone by then!! Its not just for the wedding but once we are married we want to try for a baby ASAP and I know that weight could be problematic!!
So anyway I cant find my slimming world book this morning, so below is todays menu (guessed)
Breakfast - scrambled eggs, 1/2 tbsp ketchup (1 syn?)
Lunch - Tesco pasta n sauce chicken and garlic (1 syn?) with peas and mushrooms and HEB parmesan (28grams?)
Dinner - Baked potato, peas, french beans, baked chicken breast, gravy (5 syns??)
snacks - apples/satsumas
I have bought a food directory on ebay this morning (£20!!??!?) so hopefully that will arrive soon
So I hope you dont mind me joining in, I found this thread really helpful last time.0
