Morning all, feeling really poorly with tummy bug today so not eaten anything today yet.
Skint - I am sure your op will go ok, don't be so hard on yourself you have had a tough few months. I am sure you will get back into plan after op.
Good luck to all those with WI today and congrats to all the losers!0 -
:eek::eek: Ive just realised my alpen light bars I bought on Friday, are in fact not alpen light :eek::eek: They are just alpen cereal bars, the fruit and nut with milk chocolate ones, Im gutted.
I only ate one on Friday, and one today working it out to be HEB, as at the time I thought you could only eat one as an HEB, so does anyone think I can work that to be the same as 2 alpen light bars, please say yes, please????? I looked them up on syns calculator, they are 6.5 syns, and the alpen lights are 3. !!!!!! if I have cocked this up I will be so p*ssed off xx
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the ordinary Alpen bars are definitely not a HEB and would need to be synned.0 -
Morning all,
Have had billions of syns this weekend (wine, crisps, chocolate, chips - you get the idea!), once I had started I just couldn't stop!
Oh well, back on track today. I might attempt the famous dyno-rod soup to see if that can help damage limitation. I seem to eat loads of pulses on this plan already because they're so filling when you're not having meat.
Green today then:
Beans on wm toast (HEB)
Yoghurt, blueberries, pineapple
HM beany soup, wm bread (HEB)
Cheesey mash (HEB), cabbage, quorn southern strips (4.5)
Milk in tea (HEA) Fox's Classic bar (6.5)0 -
Good morning all!
Skintslimmer - as the others have said, go easy on yourself. Maybe your dodgy tummy is nerves?
Susiebear - nearly made same mistake myself on alpen bars today. Found the light ones on the bottom shelf in the end...why put the healthy stuff out of sight!?
Just been to Sainsbugs and replenished all the fresh stuff. Must say my trolley is looking completely different now. Not so much choc, crisps and wine (in fact NONE today) but now lots of fresh veg, herbs, spices, chillies etc. My word, it makes it look as if I COOK!:rotfl:
Prob be an EE day today but that is liable to change depending on whether or not I need cheese later!:D
B: 2 x alpen light choc fudge bars (HEXB)
L: veg noodle saladJacket potato with FF cottage cheese, Chicken chargrill (4 syns) and loads of veg.
Snacks: banana, grapes
Drinks: Coffees (HEA), lots of water
Can I pick peoples brains?? Got a SW recipe for crab, chilli and lime linguini. Only tinned crab I could find in Sainsbugs was extortionate price and too big for just me. Do you think I could substitute with tuna or would that be completely rank????

Don't see why you couldn't - it'll just taste a bit different:rotfl: Got to be worth a try.
Let us know what it's like if you do decide to try it - would definitely make it cheaper than using crab.

Hmm tuna, not really sure about that?
Prawns would work well.0 -
Thanks all. Having a bit of an emotional freak out, I must admit, so I think throwing up was nerves
I'm a big believer in homeopathy and bach flowers, so am dosing up today

Sorry you're not well TIE. I LOVE the bear hunt thing - we used to do that with the brownies! Will you post the full words to it for us (me)? I can't remember what happens after we're not scared, apart from some screaming somewhere!Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Good afternoon all
Skint -as everyone says -be kind to yourself for now, you can soon pick up where you left off once your op is out of the way!!
I got day 7 "shredded" this morning :j
Its a glorious day here -lovely n bright
So then Im planning an EE day today that should look like this:-
250ml semi (A)
melon
pineapple
tuna, sweetcorn mayo (1)
lettuce
cucumber
tomato
tickled beetroot
tickled onions
tickled cabbage
mixed berries
activia 2.5
braising steak n onions
hm oven chips (1)
salad *as above*
pineapple
melon
fibre plus (B)
So thats 1A+B and 4.5syns Now then Im going to try and use up my syns this week *gulp* -105 seems an awful lot... but its worth a giggle.... so I may "buy" some extra milk...
I have the meals for this week sorted so the mains are set to be:-
*braising steak n onions -with hm chippies
*jacket potato, cottage cheese n salad
*hm tortillas -stuffed with roast chicken and salad
*Pork, chorizo and potato stew
*jacket potato, cottage cheese n salad
*special fried rice
*potato n onion layer
I have the braising steak in the slow cooker and some bread dough proving for hubby -so thats me sorted for now...
right - off I go again, have a lovely day all-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Here we go -nearly forgot to copy this over... give me a yell if you need help sorting out my ramble
It made 4 so we had 1 each with home made wedges and baked beans and I have just had 1 cold (according to hubby Im a mucky pup because I like most things cold) and anyway the cold one tasted just like a cold cheese n onion pasty -just minus the greasy after taste ...
so then the recipe is:-
cheese n onion fryits
makes 4
400g peeled potato
1 large onion -finely chopped
4 spring onions -chopped
1 heaped teaspoon English mustard
84g cathederal city lighter (2xA)
salt n pepper
2 laughing cow light (3)
1 egg
28g dried breadcrumbs (5)
*boil the potatoes, drain and allow to dry off -then mash
*zap the onions/spring onions in the microwave until soft
*beat the onions, mustard, seasoning and grated cheese into the potato and leave in the fridge to chill until firm
*divide into 4
*shape into rounds -then poke a hole in the centre and fill with 1/2 a laughing cow light
*cover over with the mash and re-shape into flat rounds
chill in the fridge
*dip each one into egg and then the bread crumbs and then chill until needed
*then just drop on a non stick sheet (I use a silicone liner) and then bake at about 190 until golden -(I didn't flip them just in case they collapsed)
so for 2 cakes you are looking at 1heA and 4 syns on EE/Green ...and if you wanted to do it on red then you could use 2 x 227g jacket and count half the mix as your heB -but you would have to steam or bake them first, scoop out the middles to mash (and eat your skin for it to be a heB )
I was going to use another heA each and put mozarella in but I thought about it and as mozarella doesn't have much flavour I changed my mind (and saved an A to boot )-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
