Evening all! I've been away this weekend, overall I've been very good, but I'm just going to sit down and work out the syns to see how good I have to be the rest of the week to make up for the Birthday cake and the snacks I had at Drayton Manor.

    Friday (Extra Easy)
Weetabix and Milk (HEA and B)

    Stew (free)

Birds eye chicken and garlic (2.5 syns)
    Potato
    Carrots
    Broccoli
I had a 1 inch slice of rich chocolate cake so I'm saying 10 syns

    Total 12.5 syns

    Saturday (Red)
Weetabix and Milk (HEA and B)

    Mattesons Fridge Raiders (2.5)
    Pasta Pot Shot (8.5)
Walkers Lights (5.5) - took me a while to find somewhere to eat my pasta and I resorted to crisps.

Birds eye chicken and garlic (2.5 syns)
    Potato (HEB2)
    A little cheese (HEA2)
    Carrots
    Broccoli
    Tortilla wrap (8.5)

    Meringue Nests x 2 (5)

    Running total - 45 syns

    Sunday (Extra Easy)
Weetabix and Milk (HEA and B)

Carvery - 5 syns for 1 roast potato and gravy
Ice cream - 10 syns as an estimate

Roast dinner - 10 syns for gravy and yorkshire puddings

    Running total - 70 syns.

So that's 70 syns out of my weekly 105 leaving me with 35 or roughly 8.5 a day.

I feel better now I've worked it out. It is worse than I thought, and it was for stupid things (I didn't really need that tortilla wrap, it was taunting me) but at least I know now.
  • Will. someone. please. make. me. effing. well. stick. to. the. plan.

    Huff.

Started the day today raring to get back on track, and made colcannon soup. Despite not having any ingredients which can do any harm and them all being freshly purchased, it tasted odd, and I ended up being sick :(:(:( That's so very unlike me. Bit of a dodgy tum all day, but I have eaten and kept down normal food tonight (totally off plan) so here's hoping. Its odd, because I was CRAVING a glass of cold milk last night, didn't have it, gave in to have it this morning and I wonder if it was related to a bit of a dodgy tum?

Hope it was something and nothing, because my op is scheduled for tuesday this week and I can't afford - literally can't afford - to miss it. :(

Think the op is playing on my mind to be honest, and that's a contributing factor to me not sticking to plan at the mo. Feeling sorry for myself truth be told, and worrying about the op, even though its a minor one and I had a much bigger one before Christmas and that went fine. Maybe that's why, because I didn't deal well with it emotionally. :(

    Sorry for pointless ramble...
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels
  • Big hugs Skint, ur braver than me, I've never had the plates and screws taken out (couldn't take 3 more days of hosp food). Perhaps it was hearing that Cherie & Tony still have s*x that made you ill? I hope you soon perk up, I'm sure we are all rooting for you x
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Hi Skintslimmer :) Sorry you're having a rotten time of it. Maybe you could just be kind to yourself until after the op and firmly back on the wagon afterwards? Although it doesn't help the way you feel just now, I'm sure you'll feel much better afterwards and more able to get back on track.

    Hope you feel better soon:)

Hope all goes well with your op skintslimmer and have a lovely time on your 'golf' break dizzy.

Just a few comments about some of the chat I've been catching up on:

I find tubs of stock powder very useful for recipes that don't need a whole cube. I used to get them in France but now they are available here.

Dry noodles (I like the rice ones from the Asian supermarket) just need a quick soak in boiling water then you can add them to stir-fries etc.

There seemed a distinct shortage of Linea prducts in my Lidl today (including the soft cheese/fromage frais). Are they rebranding do you think, anyone know?

While not cheap, I find frozen Summer Fruits (about £4 per kg in Asda) about the best way of getting SS fruit at this time of the year. It's consistent, easy and no waste. I just defrost a bowlful and eat it topped with yogurt for a snack/pudding.

I've had an EE day (again;)).

B: NAS, fried egg, beans and toast (HE) plus tea with milk (HEs all through day)
    L: apple and cottage cheese
D: slab of braised steak & onions, boulangere potatoes, cauli and broccoli (this was really yummy and part of my plan to introduce more variety to our meals)
    Snacks: Shiraz

I've got people coming to stay tomorrow so wine syns will be high but they're having a syn free meal!

Morning all, sending big hugs to Skint. I'm sure op will go fine and you can, as others have said get back on Dizzy's wagon as soon as you are feeling well enough.

Dizzy - hope you enjoy you well deserved pampering.

Have a good day everyone. xx
