Welcome Banbury bride!!
Are you having a green day?
Couple of things for you -
Ketchup - 1 level tbsp = 1 syn
Parmesan = 28g - you can have this as a HE A or a HE B if you're on a green day
Gravy - 142mls bisto style granules = 2.5 syns; 142mls made with meat juice = 7 syns.
I'd take a green day and use the parmesan as a HEA and the chicken breast as a HEB. Leaving you with another HEB spare.0 -
I'M BACK!!!
After a week off from work, a nice time in Brighton & lots of 'naughty' food i put on 6lbs!
But i have got no cravings (if you want to call it that) for 'naughty' food atm!
Also, a reason not to have 'naughty' food in the quantities i did again is i reckon i have Gallstones - had pain in my stomach over xmas & nurse reckonned it was gallstones, from her personal experience, not medical advice! And Monday morning at 3am i was woken up with shooting pains on my right side, underneath my ribcage and going up to my shoulder, by the time i had dozed off it was 6.30am and time to get up for work!
I have also had some pain there today, anyone a doctor? Should i go to doctors?
It has also given me bad wind - burp wise, and heartburn, not sure if it was from the falafel i had yesterday though!
Apart from that, i am back on track - back to green days for me
B - Banana, cherries & ff yogurt
L - Pasta, passata, mushrooms, onions, sweetcorn, canelini beans
D - Mushy Pea curry with added spinach, carrots, onions, mushrooms served with rice & swede
Snacks - Apple, ff activia, NAS marshmallow squash, Coffee with milk (hea1 & 2), Scan Bran with white choco options quark (heb1 + 2), & either 2 alpen light/hifi/fibre plus for heb2
Knitting is going well, whilst my brother was eating choc last night i was knitting and i didn't fancy any at all!
Tomorrow i am on a course but will bring my own food & hope i can go to my car on lunch break to have prepared food!
B - Banana, cherries & ff yogurt
L - Pasta as today
D - Tesco meatfree sausages (need to check syns) with swede, cauli, broc, swede, mash & onion gravy (2)
Snacks - 2 Alpen Lights (heb1), Scan Bran with White Choc Options Quark (heb2 + 2), Coffee with milk (hea1 & 2)
Friday will be easy as i am at Uni
B - Porridge (hea1 & 1/2heb1) Banana
L - Jacket Potato & beans, ff Activia
D - Might do the pickled onion soup for a change
Snacks - Coffee with milk (hea2) Scan bran either dipped into soup or with options quark! (1/2heb1 & heb2)
Right better get off and actually do some work!
Well done & good luck!
P.S. Dizzy - White chocolate options is only 2 syns - i checked it online earlier!0 -

Morning everyone
Weigh in for me today and I lost 2lbs, so that has got rid of the gain I had last week
Nessie216 - I had gallstones about 17 years ago and the pain I had was awful. I used to get pains which used to shoot through to my back and I found I could only eat low fat food otherwise the pain would start again. I would go to the docs just to get it checked.
Have a good day everyone

I made a batch of Dyno-Rod soup tonight, and i'm not sure weather it looks right? I did tweak the ingredients, and halfed the things like carrots and leeks. Here are some pics.
Hi Autumnflower - congrats on your loss! Yup, that's what Dyno-rod soupl looks like when I make it too - I usually blend it fairly smooth.:)0 -

Skint -as everyone says -be kind to yourself for now, you can soon pick up where you left off once your op is out of the way!!
I got day 7 "shredded" this morning :j
Well done MrsM.....personally can't stand shredded wheat myself, unless they're covered in sugar which defeats the purpose:o, but seven days of eating them must be good for you:rotfl::D:rotfl::D0 -

It isnt just you ! What could possibly go wrong with a chickpea and spinach curry ? 3 of my fave things chickpeas+spinach+ curry spices should be lovely, right??: WRONG!!
Im considering selling my book ( Food around the world or whatever its called) fleabay and use slimming eats, here, and normal cookery books and just adapt them to the SW way.
Has anyone got the SW book "sauces" is it any cop?
If you think about it, specially Indian food, although in restaurants here there's loads of oil I do believe in real life Indian people wouldn't use tons of oil partly cos a lot of them are poor and how would they buy it. Some recipes in my very old Indian cookbooks call for boiling onions and spices to start things off which I used to think was odd, but not now. Another good way to get a rich thick sauce is to blend your raw onion, ginger, garlic, a few spices, some tomato and then dry-fry that. That is pretty authentic:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Afternoon all..
Forgot to weigh in last night so i've just done it now instead. Have lost 3.5lbs :j although i know thats some of that loss is the time difference between 5pm and 1pm it can't all be surely.. here's hoping! (will sneaky weigh later at 5pm to double check)
Just got off the phone to Tesco Customer service  they drive me mad, they charged for a delivery that didn't show up two weeks ago and i'm still chasing them for the credit!! 4 times i've rang them... but instead of picking up a bar of chocolate to calm myself i'm going to have a jacket potato as planned. Food demon be gone!!
Annaangel - how lovely to have a treat and for it to be free!! Very MSE.
Oohhh Nessie I had a nice time in Brighton last week too! D*mn that steak and rib place and all the chocolate shops:rotfl:Where did you go?? Sorry to hear you're poorly.. definitely get to the doctors.. they'll send you for an ultrasound to be sure.blackberry-rum wrote: »Phew, thought I was doing summat wrong. tbh I use my regular recipes, many simply in my head, and leave out the oil/cut off the fat. It's as simple as that.
I'm not a fan of the SW recipes either - mainly the desserts.. i've only found one that i can eat more than once and thats sugar free jelly mixed with yogurt or fromage frais.. all the others have been really artificial tasting... never again..
anyway i'll stop waffling - extra easy day today - don't do many of these
B - apple, yogurt, alpen(0.5HEB)
L - jacket potato, 2 LC triangles (2?) cheese(HEA) salad
T - sausages(1) new potatoes, carrots, onion gravy (2)
S - crisps (4.5) orange, milk in tea (2)
so thats me done for the day - off to do more decorating

What does everyone snack on that doesn't need cooking? I'm thinking of things to put in my desk drawer, that aren't fruit or veg, and 100% syn free.
Menu for today (EE):
B: 57g Kingsmill wholemeal bread (HEB) with melted cheese, bacon and bean topping (HEA), 1 banana, 1 apple and a kiwi
L: Jacket Spud with baked beans, 1 orange and an apple
S: Mugshot (sweet and sour)Omelette with onion, spinach and bacon, fruit salad and Onken fat free strawberry yoghurt
HEA, HEB, 0 syns.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.
