creeps in ...
hello everyone!
Long time no see
I have been doing my own version of the plan and recently managed to put on 7lbs in 3 weeks
FEELING slightly rough and a bit low from the constant carbing so decided to take the plunge and come back to plan as of saturday. I bought some scales ( finally, dizzy how long is that Ive been without- the shame)
Anyway weighed in at 9 stone 10 and 3/4
Whoops!
Have had a really productive few days and feeling back on the wagon
Thanks for the chickpea dahl bake recipe that sounds great I have a tin hanging around too
Hope everyone has a great day
EY UP LYNZ MI OLD MUCKA !!welcome back to the madhouse hun
We have a new 'Dizzy Tankwagon'
to keep us on plan & protect us from the foodfairies......and superglue is included free of chargeI've never eaten them but they turn up at tasting sessions every now and again. People who are desperate for cake say 'Oh wow and only half a syn for the whole cake' (I exaggerate but it's not much). Most people seem to think it would be more tasty to eat the wrapping paper the Scan Bran comes in.
yup that about sums it up :rotfl::rotfl:Am i the only one who doesn't mind them?
YES !- Ya big wierdo :rotfl::rotfl::p ;)x x x0 -

My first ever maintain this week. Not bad considering I spent the weekend in Dublin on a stag night. I have never drunk so much in my entire life, and food-wise the plan was out the window from Friday-Monday.
Dodged a rather large bullet, but I'm absolutely buzzing at the thought of getting back into the gym tonight.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Our consultant at group made a scan bran version of ferreo roche, she crushed them, mixed them with nutella and chilled in the fridge. My mum loved them and said they didn't taste too different. I don't like nuts so I can't give you my personal opinion.
If you google scan bran you'll find there are a few, there is a whole thread on the minimims website.Currently takling Barclaycard - £67/£350Debt free date October 2014:jDoing it for my girlies!!:j38lbs lost in 2011SW for May 8lb/7lb0 -

CHOCOLATE BRAN CAKE
6 ½ sins on either day for the whole cake!
Ingredients
5 scan bran (healthy extra)
28g cocoa powder
1 level tbsp golden syrup
15g powdered artificial sweetener
2 eggs, beaten
Break scan bran into small pieces then sprinkle on hot water
Leave a few minutes then break up with a fork, until scan bran resembles breadcrumbs
Stir in the cocoa powder, syrup and sweetener
Mix in the beaten egg and stir well
Line a loaf tin with foil and spray with fry light (I use a greaseproof cake tin liner) Bake for 25 – 30 minutes in a pre-heated over at 190c or place in a microwavable container and microwave on high for 5 minutes
I make this cake a lot and have a method that really helps to bring out the chocolate flavour.....I have experimented a lot and this way I think makes a really nice textured cake and the flavour is enhanced...
I soak the scan bran in minimum water and then mash until soft and breadcrumby
I then immediately add the golden syrup and stir
Add the cocoa next whilst the bran is still warm and the cocoa melts into the bran which I think enhances the flavour, give a really good stir until all cocoa has melted
Then add the sweetener, again while bran is still warm, really good stir
Add the beaten eggs and stir really well.....you should now have a mixture that looks like a cake batter....
Micro for 5-6mins mins and turn out.....
This method should give you a really good textured cake.....
Delicious served with defrosted frozen cherries and an Options (2syns) stirred into half a tub of Quark – Black forest gateaux, you can have half the cake with fruit and all the filling for 5.5syn *drool*
I've got a couple of other recipes as well if you want them.0 -
