Hello everyone, Well done on this thread it's great. I'm doing SW for the 2nd time, pre holiday, and the weight loss is quite slow this time. I'm now thinking of doing a couple of red days, I haven't done any before. In the food optimising book it says you can have Quorn mince and pieces as a free food on red but doesn't mention sausages. Does anyone know if I can have these? Thanks:)

Hubby trapped my cats tail in the door and had to rush him to the vets as he made a bit of a mess of it! Going to lose a few inches off the end, very glad he is insured.

Not too surprised the cat's not happy - hubby wants to make sure he doesn't walk about naked or the puss may try to get his own back :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks consultant :) I don't eat a lot of bread, I just have my HEB quota a day (2 slices of small wholemeal).
I must have a go at this dyno rod soup, I make a big pan of veg soup every week, and have it most days for lunches, apart from when I do a red day, ingrediants are

    Massive bag of carrot battons
    Loads of turnips
    Chopped onion
    Butternut squash
    Sweet potato
    cabbage
    2 normal potatoes
    Lentils
    Veg stock pot

Do you think this is a type of Dynorod soup? I have been thinking of leaving the lentils out, that way if I HEB the pototo I could have a portion on a red day too, is that right? I love this soup I never tire of it, and it really helps to keep me regular ;-)

It sounds tasty and of course any soup made up with lots of free foods is going to be great for weight loss. Sweet potato, potato and lentils are all Green day (or EE) food so to make this free on Red they'd have to be cut out. You could always add some lean meat or bacon to your soup to make it more substantial on a Red day.

My flatmate put on 4.5lb (over two weeks) last night, and she was really down about it. This week in particular she found it had cos she knew I hadn't stuck to SW and still lost, and she feels like she sticks to it much better than me. I don't really know what to do to help her, I was thinking of offering to cook for us for the week and see if that helps.

Why not show your flatmate this site and invite her to join us. If she puts up her menus people will be able to see where she's going wrong because for sure she will be going wrong somewhere :)

Welcome to the thread, I'm glad you found us :)

Quorn sausages have syns (I'm not sure how many cos I hate them) but the only Quorn products totally free are the mince and plain pieces. If you're going for Red days you can have 'real' meat and leave the Quorn for Green days.

Thanks consultant, I asked about the sausages because I've got some in the freezer and was trying to keep the cost down this week. Getting a bit fed up with mince dishes and chicken, and alot of the other meats are quite expensive, especially with the amount of fruit I'm getting through:) Thanks again.

ps. does anyone know the syns for the quorn sausages? Thanks
